    Removing a runflat

In regards to getting the strap in the tire and around the runflat, consider using a wire lead like rebar wire or nomex/copper wire and feed that in-between the runflat and the tire. Have one end of the wire connected to your strap. Once the wire is through, keep pulling the wire and the strap...

To Purge or Not to Purge | 855 Cummins

I'd do a compression check to see of you have a few cylinders down. Seems awfully slow, but I've never driven one.

Brand new to MV. Just bought a M52a2 dump.

That truck right there will take a lickin' and keep on tickin'.

    M923A0/A1 vs. M923A2? (Possible Future M923A0 owner)

I'd like to take you up on that! I hope to get a M934A2 this year. SuperMan has the rig I want. I was born in Santa Barbara and grew up in Ventura. I still have family there and visit. Its not a bad place, just bitter about the gangs and the impact of people who don't care for our land or other...

Show your 5 tons in the snow.

A big, monster azz truck out in nature. You got yer trees, forest road, snow. Is that a stump under yer front axle? What do you have here?

Bad-to-the-bone! Nice truck. Looks fresh, clean, solid and mean. :D

    M923A0/A1 vs. M923A2? (Possible Future M923A0 owner)

Having spent the first two decades of my life in So Cal and two decades away from there, I'd rather be in Alaska in sub-zero temps than CA in the summer and I've never been to AK :D

Upgrading a M923A2 for Fire Department Usage

That makes sense from a legal standpoint they need to play by the book. I'm looking at buying a 934 this year and was just curious about the suspension.

Upgrading a M923A2 for Fire Department Usage

Looking at the roscommonequipmentcenter link that check58 posted, I stumbled upon a document that shows the payload for the 939 series trucks. The first part of the doc talks about how there is a limitation with these later model trucks in that the 1400 gallon water tank is too heavy for the...

    M923A0/A1 vs. M923A2? (Possible Future M923A0 owner)

I like the one million mile service life design. The gas milage difference sounds significant when compared by all things equal except the engine. If the NHC-250 gets 3MPG on the freeway (guessing R'd out would be 55 MPH), thats worse. I plan to use mine at least 12k miles a year. When the cost...

    M923A0/A1 vs. M923A2? (Possible Future M923A0 owner)

The NHC250 is going to be a better in some cases because you wont have turbo lag. In situations where you need all the torque near off-idle RPM's, the NHC250 will be the better choice over the 8.3L. What is the MPG difference between the NHC250 and the 8.3?

    M923A2 Cold Start

I'm new to diesels and sub-zero temps. Why does an engine fail to fire w/out either?
  19. Nomadic

1991 BMY M923A2 loses heat when temp gauge hits 200 degrees

Glad to hear a follow-up. As you may know the head gasket separates two fluid channels (but not limited to). Keep an eye on your oil every day its driven to check for contamination from coolant and check the coolant for oil.
