    Questions on newly acquired MEP-802a

I've actually never seen a square cut exhaust gasket... they all have been round (though the plate is square)

    Questions on newly acquired MEP-802a

Yes, if you can find it in stock. If you cannot, the grey nitrile OEM style are available from SS user @Suprman . They are the improved material compared to the standard install.

    Questions on newly acquired MEP-802a

That is a cheap knockoff to the real ultimate wellnut upgrade. The O ring does not have a channel to seat into... so depending on how well you align it upon installation... chances are its going to leak.

    Questions on newly acquired MEP-802a

No I believe this is a piece of the flap that covers the + battery terminal. It has a right angle mold in it. The gasket on the muffler plate is die cut round, no angles.

Prestone Green is good and cheap.

    Generator AUX fuel connections

If anyone is looking for the fuel drum aux fuel assemblies, they are listed in the Classified section here: https://steelsoldiers.com/threads/5342-00-066-1235-universal-milspec-bung-adapter-and-2-brass-sections-for-aux-fuel-kit-for-mep-generators.208044/

    MEP-803A Replacement Parts

I have considered doing just that. I am in no rush to sell my parts stock, but will on an as-needed basis. I do have a spare flywheel in stock right now, totally separate from my genhead inventory if you know anyone looking.

    MEP-803A Replacement Parts

I have complete 10K generators available (rotor, stator, flywheel, end casting, etc) new in box.

    MEP-803a panel lights flickering

I didn't see the video, but it would make sense that if there is an issue on the 24V side you would hear a change in the 24V powered pump.

Picked up 6 MEP-802A gensets and will be documenting making them all runners here

There are two stators available on the big auction site at the moment for the 802.

Depending on your acquisition price, its either a real nice parts machine now for your other sets... or worth tracking down a stator based on market values. You are putting more work into these things than I would, cheers to you.

    Mep803a fuel tank leaks

Feel free to direct message me at any time if you need something. If I have it, I'd be happy to help or direct to a source. Also item requests can be dumped here too: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/forums/parts-wanted.130/

    New MEP 1040 10KW

I've had mixed success with Optimas in the battery-trickery department of recharging. Glad to see you had success.

Improvements on the 'Ultimate Well Nut' upgrade

Maybe. The ultimate upgrade part has a recessed channel for the O ring to seat. While this might retain the right threading, I doubt its liquid holding capability (since the sealing gasket can move, and Im not even sure its fuel rated).

MEP-803A: It Runs, It Generates, but it won’t shut off

The concern about metering pump reinstallation is overblown. If you see the indents in the fuel rack which tie to each pump, you can articulate the rack open to feel the locating points for each pump, to reinstall one. The rest drop in after that doing the same thing. See the notches? Thats...

Improvements on the 'Ultimate Well Nut' upgrade

It can be swapped out without taking the tank out. Fashion a T out of a brass coat hanger and use it to fish the nut through the tank to the hole and pull through to tension while you put the nut on from the outside.

Both locations, same well nut used.

Improvements on the 'Ultimate Well Nut' upgrade

Yup. I've already got it lined up, its just going to take a few thousand upfront to begin. A tough sell when each part would sell between 20-30, and if there is no giant need for such an improvement (or current need for folks looking, who cant source) thats money I can use elsewhere in the MEP...

    Questions on newly acquired MEP-802a

That flat area is prone to condensation settling. I've seen it many times, with no leaks. Do keep an eye on it all the same.
