Trying to adjust the left radius rod on my 998. I have loosened up the lock bolts (taken off) and soaked the threads for three nights in my special sauce of acetone and tranny fluid and the thing is still as tight as Dick's Hatband. One differ I noticed is there are no reliefs cut into the...
I've cleaned it the best I can. On the fuel pump screens, I've noticed the openings are a little large and will permit fairly large chunks to pass through. Has anyone added or wrapped another screen with smaller openings around the fuel pump?
Took the fuel tank off for a cleaning. It seems to be in good order except for barnacles that have grown all over the walls, baffles and the bottom. Any ideas on how to clean the inside of the tank is appreciated.
I agree with Redbeard. The latches, for no lesser term are cheap made, stamped metal. There are a few 90*s in the stampings that can be pushed out of place by forcing the handles and more so the outside. It "should" be an easy fix and I would suggest giving it a try before buying a new one...
I've noticed my front tires are "cupping" which normally I would attribute this to the "toe" being off. Course with a front axle vehicle, I know the ackerman is pretty much non nonexistent. Is there a toe setting that works well and prevents this?

When I let the clutch out it doesn't catch until the pedal is all the way out. Sometimes I will hook the pedal with my toe and finish pulling it up for the last inch. Can I adjust this and where should the clutch begin to engauge during the travel from all the way down to full out?
Looking for a tow vehicle for the Half Track. The Track should come in at around 18,500lbs and the trailer (yet to buy) around 5000. Any and all suggestions welcome.
Looking at your original post if the primary filter is stopped up the 5 to 7 psi may not be strong enough to bypass the filter where as the 60 psi can easily do this. Have you changed your filters (all three) and cleaned out the bowls?
Thanks for your service. I'm also fairly new to the Deuce but from I've read so far the engine is very sensitive to over revving and it seems like that's where they let go. As far as the turbo, it's my understanding that the turbo was added only to help eliminate the heavy exhaust smoke form the...
