I've been working on the brakes for a couple of days now and seem not to be getting nowhere. When I push the pedal it goes about half the way down before I feel any resistance and the brakes work. I have read several threads on the subject but am still confused. Should the pedal be firm from...
My alarm is not working and I'm not sure how to fix it. I can trace a wire from the junction behind the dash where I guess a air pressure sensor would be hooked but I don't see a wire that provides power. How many wires go to this and where does it pick up power if it does. I am building around...
I have the Deuce running now but I'm not so sure that the brakes are up to snuff. When I hit the pedal it has some resistance about half the way down but there seems to be no effective braking until it hits the half way point. Then the brakes seem to work but I'm not sure they will stop the...
That was to be my next suggestion. From what I have read the "wedge" must be in the canal and it must move freely. It's kinda hard to line up but once done you can "feel" it working. Great that you fixed it. By the way, excellent photos of the HH.
How about a "Trunk Monkey". If you are having trouble with the light changing push the button and a little trap door opens and out he jumps. Runs to the light controller and beats the crap out of it until the light changes. A few bananas goes a long way. Also, you can use it on road raged...
Victory!!!!!! Installed the repaired HH and bled the filters. After a brief cough of black smoke she fired. NICE to hear it run since I bought it in non running condition. I still need to work over the fuel system (clean, clean) but I feel pretty darn good. Now I can't wait for the first drive...
I have found numerous issues with dirt, rust, algae and just plane junk in the fuel tank and system. I have replaced all the filters and done as much to the tank as I can but would like to know what is the best way to clean the tank. There are areas that I can't get to. Also, is there some type...
Actually I have seen trucks that are high off the ground to trigger the sensor wire. You may try moving back and forth or target the sensor lines with your tire. If that doesn't work, you may have to buy a magnetic field generator, like they those used on a bike. If its the overhead sensors...
I rebuilt the parts on the HH today using a new button, retainer and bowtie washer. I feel that all those parts will function correct. I did notice that where the button contacts the lower button (I guess) it was beat up a little. My question is do I need to worry about this or is this common to...
Found the problems with my HH on the Deuce. Now I need to know where to find parts to repair it. I need the button, retainer, "bowtie" drive washer and would like to have a new plunger shaft. Also the O rings from the same supplier (have seen them in another thread). I "think" I can make the...
And after taking out the plunger here is another problem. I can see where the modern fuels come up short on lubricates and I feel this could have helped do this. Course with the condition I found the filters in dirty fuel may have added to it. Where can I get the broken parts and is the bottom...
