    nice cutv's on gov liquidation

I am going up to inspect the M1008, M1009's and Dually's this Friday, on my way to Idaho. French Camp is only about 5 hours North of me, so I plan on bidding on all of them. I am hoping that so close to the holidays, they won't go up to fast. They all looked pretty clean in the PICs. Very low...

    Racing Seats and Seat Brackets

They only have one reclining seat and it does not have an application for a Blazer. Plus, it is more expensive than the Hunsacker. I found a company, Wedge Manufacturing in Long Beach, that makes a replacement bracket for the CUCV. They make it to order and will customize the top to fit any...

    Interior Trim Parts

Forgot a couple items. 6. Center console with cup holders. Anyone know one that fits easy and well? 7. Headliner. Do the replacement headliners work. I figured since we don't have A & B pillar trim parts and headliner is a no go. Am I wrong?

    Interior Trim Parts

Ok. I have decided to make the CUCV my daily driver when I am at my place in Idaho. It is several miles of dirt roads to get to my place and then 30 miles of a very twisty highway. Since I will spend a considerable amount of time driving it, I need to spruce it up a bit. I am looking to replace...

    Racing Seats and Seat Brackets

I am looking to install some racing seats that allow me to use a 5 point harness. I am installing a S&M Roll Cage also. I would like to retain the factory seat brackets to make the install easy. When I look at the brackets, the rear are lower and use an arm to the slider to make then level with...

    I Need a Voltmeter Gauge for a CUCV M1009 1985

I did a search and all the previous links to sources are dead or out of stock. Anyone currently have a source for these?

    Wiper Motor Help Please!

I had that wire reversed. But it is still not working right. The water pumps ok and blades move, but really slow and they tend to get stuck. Give them a little help and they move again. They also return to the bottom ok when turned off. It's like the motor is not strong enough or something. If I...

Please Comment on my Lift Plan

I was planning on the remote adjuster thingy for the Rancho's. I realize that Bilstein is a much better shock, but they don't offer anything that will do what the Rancho does. I want to drive this thing on the highway 600 to 800 miles and then hit the trails. I like ho Rancho sells one shock...

    2005 Silverado Seats

The seatbelts are fully integrated into the seat on the newer GM SUVs & Trucks. They do not mount to the vehicle at all. Only have to worry about the seat mounts. That is why they are so popular and expensive. They also have a flat mounting surface so they are easy to modify to fit into almost...

    2005 Silverado Seats

I am looking at installing a pair of seats from a 05 Silverado. It is not a direct bolt in, but looks fairly easy using the stock M1009 Cucv floor brackets. My concern is the height. Has anyone done this? Are they going to be to tall if I mount them on the stock floor brackets? I really like the...

Please Comment on my Lift Plan

I have a 1985 M1009 that I want to add a little lift to. Currently running on OLD springs and new 33" tires. Plan to keep the tires for now, but will switch to at least 36" when the run out. So here is my plan. 1. ORD Steering Box Brace Kit. http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/steeringkit.htm 2...

    Wiper Motor Help Please!

I checked the fuses and none are blown. Thanks for the PIC. What is the dround strap. Is it the green and white strap on the right in the above picture? If so, no it is not attached. The new pump did not have one and it was riveted to the old one, so I did not remove it. I could try that for sure.

    Wiper Motor Help Please!

My wipers worked but would not return to the bottem when turned off and the water pump on the wiper motor would not pump water. So, I went to the dealer and got a new (rebuilt) motor. Got it installed and the wipers ran good and returned to the bottom fine. Then I tested the water and everything...

    Seat Sawppin'

So instead of removing the seat from the floor, all I would do is remove it from the brackets that mount to the floor. Then swap any seat onto that? I would love to put new seats in my CUCV, but had read it was not as easy as you explained. How do most seats mount to the rail? Just four or so...

    Seat Sawppin'

I do not see how they could bolt in without some custom fab. My M1009 rear seat folds up and has a shock on it. I think the Suburban seats fold flat and not up like these. Also, I don't think a late model Suburban front seat is going to bolt in without custom mounts.

    Seat Sawppin'

The way I read it, that article does not talk about what will work with the CUCV. The way I read it, it was talking about S10 and not K5 Blazers.
