Nothing saying you couldnt just leave it open, but only slightly. Or just plumb in a nipple barb, and hook a plastic drip line to it, and direct out of your container.
What justacitizen described was basically what I was going to tell you. I am sure you can find a fitting suitable for this. In fact, why not just drill and tap the black iron cap fitting that you could install in the bottom of the T, and just use a fitting similar to whats already on your MEP...
Yeah plumb it all back together, and let it prime itself for a good five minutes. Try to crank it. Let it prime some more, and crank it. If its gonna go, its gonna go. Its not going to wear the battery down letting a little fuel pump run 5-10 minutes.
Everything you have been told so far are great places to start. I would change all the filters first. Have you drained the tank, cleaned, and put in known good & fresh fuel? Do that too, and put in a whole can of Seafoam. I would personally then let the system run at 50% load for as long as you...
Is it easier for you to filter the fuel before it hits the machine, or in the machine? I would think you will get a higher flow rate (and possible better filtering) if you go with an inline filter before it even hits the machine.
Now I am not saying I have insider knowledge... but with Russia-phobia running at full tilt right now, it begs the question: was there any intervention?
I've got a pair of Yellowtops in my 802 for this very reason. For machines that I have gone through, I outfit with Exide brand (TSC is the price winner here). I believe they are a good middle of the road solution (under $100/ea) between the extremes. Thats the best part about these forums... all...
Well I called my local Kubota engine dealer, and was given a price of $3100USD, plus freight. Chap was gonna get back to me with availability (not a domestically produced engine). I will report back when they provide me with info.
