And you better stop doing copies with military ID's.
Violation of security and law now apparently.
We briefed it at guardmount about a month ago to stop doing copies of military ID's to anyone.
If you got this from a guy there that was also a chief of police, he knows better. I bought a CUCV from him off of Ebay. The state of TN did not let me title it because all he gave me was a SF-97 with his name on it as well as a bill of sale. GL said when I called them that they would not...
I know on other GM's I have worked on, there is a power stud and starter stud, along with a small stud.
Sounds like you are putting in on the wrong stud. But even worse it sounds like you are installing it with the power still connected, which is a good way to fry your electrics.
Gotcha. New to the owing a CUCV thing and wasn't sure.
Have driven several over the last 20 years, but haven't owned any until this year and have owned two.
Nice looking truck.
Good god they cannabilized it, or just decided to be some jerks.
Anyways since it is missing, you might as well replace the fuel filter from stock to a spin-on type since it is missing anyways and go to Autozone and get some heater hoses. I believe if you tell them it is for a K20 Chevy 4x4...
Not to be a smart azz, but did you replace the bulb with the correct one?
The regular bulbs look the same but you need one with two elements, one for the stop and one for the turn.
I only say that since I did it once on a 72 Cutlass.
Actually that is probably what is it.
The skycops were probably assigned a civi truck, tacticooled it, and put it into service.
If you look closely at the cab, it looks more like it is a pickup, rather than a M1009/K5. Most likely a GSA-type assigned short bed p/u.
There are three people on craigslist here in the Middle Tennessee area selling them for $50 each. One guy that has pictures has two off of CUCV's that he is selling for that price in OD.
