I had my first opportunity to get my deuce in the mud. My friend got stuck and I went to pull him out.
At first it seemed like the front axle was engaging and then my buddy said it was not. After I returned home I looked up and read a lot of threads on sprag transfer cases. I tried to adjust...
I live in North Fort Worth and just had my M35A2 registered. I had to get a weight ticket so I purchased a temporary tag. I went to state farm insurance and they hooked me up with no problems. Went to the DMV and had to explain exactly what it was and got it done. I registered as antique due to...
You can tell it's a 6v-92 due to the large snap ring on the water pump cover. The 71 series has bolts that hold it on and the 53 series is not even close.
:grd::grd::grd::grd:By pass it. I just did and wow what a difference. It's easy to do and takes about 30 minutes or so. There is a lot of info on here and step by step instructions. There is also vids on you tube that helped me a lot. My deuce runs so much better and starts a lot better.

That's the one. It's an early truck, the front diff is always in and the transfer has just high and low. It's a 1962 Studabaker. John was a pleasure to deal with and made my first experience buying a deuce a good one.
Worked hard on my Deuce this weekend
Well I changed the engine oil and filters. Changed the fuel filters. I read some post about bleeding the brakes and modified a garden sprayer to pressure the brake system and remove the air and flush the system. That worked great! Repaired the horn, there...
I spent the day removing a bunch of wires not needed. I started changing windshield frames, the old ones were rusted out. I worked on the horn and the air switch is bad. Ordered a new one. Fixed the left turn signal. The isolator was broken in the center and shorted out.
