Curious if anyone has added rear seat belts to a non-ROPS equipped M151A2?
My kids are bugging me for a ride, other than around the block. I'm not comfortable with that without some type of restraint. Would only be used for short drives, maybe to the local car shows, etc, no highway use.

Very nice. Welcome to the site and hobby. Can't help with the 923 questions, but the search engine works well. There is a sub forum on painting, etc. that should have the info you need.
There are also many vendors that will have the stuff you need, like TNJ Murray, Eastern Surplus, Memphis...
I got all three running like a top! All load tested and good. Pretty neat little units. I only need a few feet of 1/4" fuel lines to make them almost perfect, and learn how to prime them. One had a badly clogged fuel valve at the bottom of the gas tank.
Thanks for the help!
I love it. That looks awesome. Great job on it.
I can't decide what color or scheme to do mine in.....I'm torn between a USMC M151A2 and your camo pattern.
I got two of them running today. One is running really well. The second ran for a while and then quit. No fuel is getting to the filter after about 5 minutes of fuel flowing fine. The fuel hose is clear. I think the shut off valve on the bottom of the fuel tank is clogged.....probably from some...
Good thing it happened at low speed! You'll have it back in service in no time. Make sure you check the TM on the hub for proper backlash, etc.
I had this happen to me last year on a "refurbished by military contractor" HMMWV that I was driving on 71 NB near Mansfield, OH from Wright Patterson...
They are about 150lbs +\-
Can't wait to try the electric start! Small units, but they should work well to help light our firearms range, or for other small emergencies.
They were requisitioned for use by another Government agency, so the cost was $0.
I picked three of these up at Fort Dix while I was out that way today. Look like decent units. Haven't tried them yet. I need to get batteries for them, perform some maintenance, and fire them up!
Thanks. I'm getting ready to service my bearings and hubs, but when I need tires in a few years, I'm going to do the exact same thing you have there. That looks awesome. Once I get everything apart, I might need to buy some of those A3 parts :) I haven't had any issues and I'm hoping my bearings...
ATF in the tranny might make it shift better, but won't get you any more speed. There is a recommended ATF fluid which escapes me at the moment. I still run the 15W40 in mine, no problems. There are a lot of opinions on that. I did have my fluids analyzed at Allison service center and everything...
