not at all actually. its clear as a bell even running wide open. i can probably attribute most of that to the recently installed muffler. also my imagination isnt vivid enough to think between destinations! ;-)

check your torque rods before you go do much in it. make sure they are in good shape. i learned that the hard way. not fun.

GL-5 with the MT-1 spec seems to be more available. you can get that at autozone.

what did you use to glue the seal, and retainer in place? didnt see a separate thrust washer in mine. unless you mean the machined surface on the inner axle shaft that would ride against the retainer. my axles are not u-joint if that helps. thanks.

maybe if the front axle has the ball and claw design (like mine) instead of the u-joints. from what ive gathered u-joint axles are about 15-20% stronger. although if youre not beating the crap out of it off road i guess this isnt an issue.
