    AC compressor bypass pulley

This is normally true but from what I understand of PAG150 it's dense enough the water stays on top. But, regardless, I'll probably be picking up a delete setup from 86humv.

    AC compressor bypass pulley

Very good point! If I do keep it in the truck, it sounds like it might be a good idea to pick up a bottle of PAG 150 oil (since it looks to be a GM R4 compressor) and fill it up to drive out as much air and moisture as possible.

    m998 6.2 to 6.5 turbo upgrade

Just curious, are these the right body mounts to give the correct amount of lift needed?

    HMMWV paint selection

Just curious, did your guy spray it on undiluted?

    AC compressor bypass pulley

Funny this topic should come up... My recently acquired 6.5T also came with an installed A/C compressor. I do want to eventually install A/C in my truck but, because of how much I drive my truck with the top off, it's literally at the bottom of my list. Unlike bobwire my compressor is not...

    HMMWV paint selection

No surprise their Automotive Finishes division hasn't heard of it. It's a product of their Military Coatings division. Here is the info on the one(s) you want. You should be able to print up one of the product data sheets (PDS) listed for any of the colors (they're all the same) and...

How much paint and which color for M998

I painted my truck with Sherwin Williams CARC at the beginning of August. Details on quantity, application, and equipment here.

    Humvee Sound Heat Insulation

I can't speak to that exact product but, I have bought from db Engineering before and they're very easy to deal with. You might want to give them a call and speak with them to see what they think. They are apparently the ones that supply the OEM floor matting. They may even have precut sets for...

    Control Box

Definitely do some searching and reading on here regarding the EESS boxes. There's a ton of data available on them. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?144903-EESS-PCB-replacement-for-the-HMMWV If you can, I would return that Prestolite box. Pretty sure those are considered obsolete...

Good point! Thanks for adding the clarification!

Deep Water Fording Kit On A 6.5T/4L80E Truck

Almost forgot, I wanted to update this so anyone else searching for the info in the future can find the answer. Working with 86humv, we found there is no deep water fording specific trans dipstick and tube. The 12469144 tube and 12469145 dipstick are the only dipstick/tube option. So...

Deep Water Fording Kit On A 6.5T/4L80E Truck

Ok, cool. When you get a chance, could you shoot me a PM with pics and prices. I'll probably have you add that to my current order.

Deep Water Fording Kit On A 6.5T/4L80E Truck

Which tube and dipstick for which component? Right now I've got engine oil tubes 12339844 and 12469130, as well as engine oil dipstick 12339846. For the transmission tubes and dipsticks I've got the TH400 12339147-2 tube and 12339847 dipstick, as well the 4L80 12469144 tube and 12469145 dipstick.

Deep Water Fording Kit On A 6.5T/4L80E Truck

I'm going to be installing a 6.5 turbo engine and 4L80E in my truck in the very near future. I've got both the engine and the transmission currently (and a bunch of smaller parts needed). Before I got those I was in the process of piecing together and installing the deep water fording kit on my...

    Frame Reinforcement on an M998

I've seen those kits and I saw the install writeup on G503 when looking into them but not much on how necessary they are. You think they're a good addition to a truck that actually gets wheeled off road? Or is it just overkill for an unarmored truck? I'm like the OP and I'd prefer an ounce of...

GP HMMWV Pictures not of the actual vehicle being auctioned

Has Phil taken over Jwade's duties on here? I've dealt with Phil when I bought my truck and he very helpful and easy to work with.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Buddy and I had our trucks in a local Veterans Day parade. I had a 20 year Marine veteran and VP for the Ohio Vietnam Veterans Of America ride shotgun. Buddy's truck is up front. We were lined up in front of the fire apparatus. Crowd loved the trucks!

    Mounting tires to wheels

Yes, just find a place that uses a Hunter Road Force machine. They can handle tires as large as ours. Otherwise you'll just hear a lot of, "We can't do ones that big." The Road Force machine can do up to 42"x18" tires, if I recall correctly. If you run into an issue with them not being able to...

    AM General Suing Activation

Not exactly... China ripped off the HMMWV as the "Mengshi" in 2007. It wasn't until earlier this year that China officially got the Hummer, and they're being produced here. If you're talking about the 2010 deal for GM to sell "Hummer" to China, that fell through.
