The duramax/Allison swap won't be happening anytime in the near future and I need a 4 speed auto right now. I understand I'll have small misc cost here and there just like I would with swapping a 4L80E but the swap will still be a lot cheaper than a 4L80e swap.

I recommend changing the hose. I had the exact same problem as you and did the same procedures as you. In the end my brother noticed a small hair crack on the fitting. Couldn't really see it. So I just had another hose custom made. Get a new hose.

I've been thinking about fabbing up my own rocker/floor protectors. I was thinking about using 3/16" for the floors and 1/4" for the rockers. Just need to put some money aside for the materials. Has as anyone on here fabbed their own?
