Putting the new steering box in was a PAIN . . . I had to put it in and pull it out 3 times. I hoped to get everything wrapped up today but I just didn't have enough time. Did get the springs and the axle in though . . .
Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but I'll give it a shot . . .
I assume you're referring to the front 60. I had a "spare" 60 that I had completely rebuilt, including adding a Lockright and 35-spline outer shafts. It does have dually hubs on it and that's what will be going in...
I got the ORD weld-in frame repair kit installed today. I had to trim the front in order to clear the bumper support bracket. After that a little weld-thru primer and then I burned it all in. I put the extended brake lines on as well. Tomorrow I'll install the new steering box and hopefully get...
I had a little time this weekend, but not enough to start tearing the front end down. I did go ahead and remove the front driveshaft, shocks and sway bar though just to get that out of the way. I also did the Doghead starter relay mod.

I bought starter from AutoZone a few years ago that was junk. I ended up finding an American remanufactured starter from a local mom & pop auto parts store a couple of years ago and so far it's still working great. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the company though.
Got all the brake lines bent up and everything plumbed and bled. I welded on the tailpipes to keep the exhaust off the brake line and axle vent. I'll probably redo it later but for now it will work. I'm calling the rear "done" and moving on to the front.
Ever since I removed the box I've been curious about this piece of plugged tubing coming off the fuel tank (see arrow). I noticed a wet spot under it this weekend so I removed it and diesel came pouring out . . . I'm not even sure how that's possible since it comes off the top of the tank? I...
Did a little more work on the rear this weekend: made a removable "crossmember" for the upper shock mount . . . probably a little overkill but what the heck. I cut the exhaust off just after the muffler to make way for the brake lines so I had to fab up a mount for the passenger side muffler. I...
