    The orange peel finish is on purpose, after initial body work and primer completed, I prayed EverCoat polyester primer at low pressure to achieve that looks, I wanted 60% texture with high gloss, and it was ✅✅. The color is from 2023 Nissan, BAJA STORM

    hello Yes I am using the same 80w90 I use on gear hubs, I have zero leaks or issues, so far 37 hours on the engine timer, including two 600 mile trips.

    Towing my 1995 HMC4 HUMMER behind my Tacoma, 570 miles, This 65.000 GVW bar is a beast, Tacoma didn’t blink towing the H1. on high grades I had to downshift 3rd and even 2nd gear , Manual transmission.

    in the humvee and humme rh1 world there is terminology called the vampire, when cooling loop brakes inside theT case, it floods with extra ATF that supposed to go through the cooler loop, it makes the oil go up all the way to filer housing through air tubes, the transfer case starts to leak...

    Here is an example All second and 3rd generation Toyota Tacomas use very similar transfer case, all aluminum , split housing, Two main gears and chain, run by gear oil from factory.

    95% of transfer cases are aluminum housing, As far as chain goes, it’s just a connector between two gears nothing else, in fact if you examine 242, it would have been so much easier, tiny bit costly and probably forever solid unit.     OEM doesn’t mean always good or accurate 🤷‍♂️ ok granted, my T case chain lasted 60.000 miles, with ATF, I am sure gear won’t extend its life any longer, however why not try something that could be better in other ways.
