Leaking fuel tank, hard start and stall on m1028

I have all the new pump, and various other parts here now, but old man winter decided to show up, so I'll be a while. While messing with my old lift pump one day, I was getting really frustrated with the angels the darn line go in and out of the lift pump, and the inlet line it's self. What a...

    M1008 6" lift

If you didn't touch the steering, you're fine. You won't need an alignment. Is it stiff? Cushioned? The same?

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

Yes that's a great idea. Next time the Suns out, and there is no snow, I will takes pics before and after

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

Yes I agree, Sally is a fat girl and she is a m1028, not that it makes a difference. That's part of the reason why I was leaning towards the 4 leaf replacement spring for the higher capacity. With that being said, the superstiffs are cheaper than stock 3 and or 4 leafs. Getting her leveled out...

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

ORD's front shackles are 4.5" long from bolt center to bolt center. That's 1/2" longer than stock

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

No biggie, I'll spell things out in the title or 1st post. I'm not new to forums, just thought someone was nitpicking. All is well, cheers

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

Well scratch that, I did just find superlift 2.5" lift springs for under $200. But I have read bad reviews about the ride quality. Can anyone here confirm this? I've never owned anything by superlift my self

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

Thanks for you input. With the weight of the diesel I really wasn't sure if it would be worth it. I wish I could find 2" lift springs for $200 I'd rather go that route. I have found stock 3 and 4 leaf replacement springs for just over $200. I was thinking about going with the 4 leaf, 1900#...

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

"AAL" is not self made. Of course I don't want confuse anyone. It's a well now abbreviation in the 4x4 world. I did not realize Google would not pick up on it unless you use it in a phrase. But thanks, I understand.

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

Well as obvious as it is, it has nothing to do with American Air Lines. Let's not be silly here. "Sky Jacker" Add A Leaves "AAL's" But I'm sure everyone already knows that. And I'm not sure how you could get an air line mixed up with sagging front springs on a 1980's Chevy truck either. Simple...

Clarify what? That's pretty darn clear.

Restore sagging front springs with Add A Leaf Springs

Hey guys, it just so happens I have brand new Sky jacker long aal's laying around since I fist bought my truck. She's sagging so bad in the front the shackles rest on the frame. My question is, will these aal's and a new "ORD" shackle kit restore and level my truck?

Water-methanol injection system on a 6.2L NA engine

I swapped in a 6.5td, and was thinking about doing the meth injection to help keep the EGT's down while getting max power in off-roading situations. I like the snow performance once that is tunable with the pyrometer. So you can tune it to only kick on via boost or egt

    M1028 6.2 engine swap for a 6.5 turbo charged.

After I made that reply, I got really unsure of what the heck I did. So I went out and looked to make sure. I had to double check my work. I just did it the lazy way for now, but it works. After I get it running right, I'll go through it and "clean it up"

Leaking fuel tank, hard start and stall on m1028

Great idea, I will have to get ahold of my cousin at his shop to barrow a bunch of tools as is. With the over all condition of the truck is easier to just use it as a toy/work truck. I had to make a 1" body lift to clear the 3" down-pipe I made. It's all very thrown together temporarily...

This tells me to go a head and pull the trigger on that pump

Leaking fuel tank, hard start and stall on m1028

Great idea. No the bed is not off yet, pita to get the bolts out the last two times I tried. They will need to be cut. Unfortunately I got the same result with the gas can. Ran for a minute and a half
