ok I'm going to chime in, in AG diesels(tractors) injectors and fuel are the big one's to look for your fuel looks ok so that leaves fuel injection
one pull the injectors and have them checked one bad tip and it can miss any where in the rev range two clogged injector
lines I donr think that's...
tranny weighs about 200lbs maybe less I just pulled it off the deuce's bed by hand, bad idea it's heavy up that high.
A chainfall, on a 4x4 through the windshield is one of the best ways I did it that way with mike's(manugs580) help it went very smoothly.
well I got it all together(new engine in and set) and it run's like a top, started right up
in 36F windy weather here's a link to the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xd67V6K1xg
all that's left is bolt in the tranny and drive
go here and read it, I use'd 11" blade's which I think is more then enough.

nope never found that part I'm going to just screw in a 1/4" copper tube and run it to the firewall.
clinto next year(if I'm home) I'm going to paint as much of the truck as I can but I'm not pulling the cab until I do the frame off
in a few years when I have a real shop.
By the way gary that harbor freight paint guy you said to try work's very nicely it's almost as good as the $700 SATA I use at work.
and yes the reason it took so long is I make every thing as close to perfect as I can get it but peple pay me good money because of it.
Gary
the frame rails have fresh CARC as does the engine, light guards, frame extensions, drive shaft's, air filter housing and battery box.
The engine was a take out, it was spicergear's pre Cat engine(it's a 1989 herc LDT-465-1D) it only has like 400miles on it
IT'S IN my new engine is in for those that have been keeping track this has been a long road
but after many setbacks I'm there here's some pic's to prove it.
