RE: Re: RE: Rod bearings
a good thing my uncle has shown me( he's done more engines then there's peple in some town's) if the sound is a "rumble" it's the main bearings
if it's a bang, knock or ting it's a rod bearing, valve's tick some peple can hear each valve open and close.
from what I know(I learned alot geting ready to piant my truck) aluminum needs a special prep coating I think it's a conversion coating of
some kind I know of one kind used in paper mill's thats a chromate conversion coating one brand is Alodine™ or Iridite® hope this helps.
RE: Master Cyl. Info
bad news new core's for the deuce are $746 for the correct one, there's only one company that makes them and they cost big buck's.
the thing that has the speedo, tach and a clock like thing is a tachograph look here http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?full=1&set_albumName=album10&id=ps343_p16_17_tachograph&name=gallery&include=view_photo.php
but I'd say $4500 for a good running M52A2 is a very good deal.
