What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I disconnected one end of one of my driveshafts after an underneath inspection of my truck found some loose bolts holding the drivesaft to the axle flange. The flange at the axle was wobbly too. I found the big nut that holds the flange to the pinion shaft was loose. It has the cotter pin in...

Fuel Filter Issues for This Noob!

Maybe you can use teflon tape to seal the leak on the drain plugs that are stripped. Best would be to get new. Also when purging air from fuel system, you can take out a few glow plugs that are easy to get to and it will help with cranking the engine. It will make it easier on the starter.

Help me plan - better highway capability

I can vouch for Bowtie Overdrives. They rebuilt my 700R4 to a level 2 and it has been great for a year and a half now. They are great on support too. Daryl Smith was the guy that helped me there. Great guy.

Fuel Filter Issues for This Noob!

Is the truck turning over and not starting or is it not turning over at all? If it is turning over and not starting, you probably have introduced air into the fuel system by removing the drain valve on the bottom. You mentioned you stripped the bottom drain valve. They are plastic as I...

Fuel Leaking From Fuel Filter Drain Hose CUCV M1009

Try a Chevy or GMC dealer with this number: 15535678. I bought one from local dealer back in 2013. Don't know if the number is any good now though. Good luck. https://www.wholesalegmpartsonline.com/products/PLUG---VENT/2743694/15535678.html

You can park it at my place! I had to pay a few $$ to have my 923A2 brought to my place. They went and picked it up and loaded it then drove I think 34 miles to my place. Take lots of pics when it home. They will give you fun memories. Let me know if you need help. Greg

    Leaky wheel O-ring.

I have recently been doing work on tires on my 923A2 and using the Gemplers OR220TG o-rings and they work good.
