This is the tach I have. It has the 4 screws on the back. I am trying to install this in a civy vehicle with the 6.5 GM engine with the yellow sending unit that goes in the back top of the engine where a distributor would go on a gasser engine. I'm using a 12 volt to 24 volt converter to power...
Does anybody know what this tach is looking for as far as a sensor signal? I hook mine up and I think it's correct but the tach is erratic with the engine running. I don't have the wiring part that goes into the body. I just ran a couple of wires from the sensor/sending unit to the tach + and...
Mine does that too when the tank gets low. I have an M923A2. I think it's normal, just the fuel sloshing around in the tank and moving the float up and down. When the tank is full, the gauge reads steady.

Hello all. I'm getting ready to install an EGT gauge to my M923A2 engine and was wondering where to place the thermocouple probe. Here is a pic of my exhaust manifold with an area that I highlighted in white as a possible location. Any thoughts?
I cut one of my junk tires in half to take to disposal place. The beads are a killer to cut. I used a sawzall and a circular saw both with carbide blades and regular finer toothed blades. Lotta work!
I replaced my MT654 CR rear output shaft seal. Actually it took a few days. The hard part was taking the small driveshaft from the trans to the transfer case out. It is HEAVY. Taking the 8 bolts out and having to rotate the driveshaft, switching the transfer case to neutral was the hard...
I found these concerning Ametek/Dixcon tachs. I can't get mine to work right either. I have both the correct tach and the sending unit. I think maybe the wiring is picking up noise and messing up the signal.
Second picture from the left, what is that above the silver finned box? Is that the PDP and what is a PDP. If that is a power distribution box, where did you source that? Thank you.
If you can get to the bottom of the glass, I think there are 4 bolts, 2 on each side that hold the glass in. Take those bolts off and then slide the glass out with the tailgate down. Good luck
