So the gas cap trick does work to some degree. I installed a racor 490r. Filter base was definitely leaking. Unfortunately im still having the hard starting issues so i will go ahead with the electric pump. My question now is if i bypass the lift pump in exchange for the electric one then the...
guess its not so bad ripping it apart. looks like its the service light switch. no power coming off it in the on position. any ideas as to the amperage of this switch? dont have a meter to test it but have a 15 or maybe 20amp 3 way toggle around here somewhere. would that work to replace it with?
last night as i was going to maggianos in my m1009 i lost all the lights. went in to grab my chicken parm from take-out and when i started her back up there were no headlights, riding lights, turn signals, brake lights, or horn. convoy lights worked but as it turns out they dont work as well in...
im pretty sure my fuel filter base is bad. if i prime it every morning it starts fine but a real hassle. i just figured for simplicity sake that one line is better than having it go from rubber to steel to rubber. i opted against the mr gasket pump too due to many other helpful post here warning...
Even braided line could collapse? so just install in line pump by splicing the rubber line coming right off the tank? That seems to be the only place. Guess ill try that first.
thanks
Hello all,
Can i use a rubber or braided 3/8 fuel line from the fuel filter inlet all the way to the tank? its all low pressure right? im losing prime and its driving me crazy. always air in the lines if it sits for more than a few hours. putting a spin-on filter on and also thinking of using mr...
Thank you gentlemen. ac60g was my first choice and ill be sticking with those. hopefully the swollen one i had was just a fluke and not indicative of a larger problem.
I knew i was being bamboozled! Thank you for the quick reply. Would such a resistor possibly prolong the plug life or have an adverse effect on starting ability?
I brought the truck to my mechanic because i had an ac60g swell flatten and become stuck in the block. After removing it he recommended the ac13g as they draw less power, less likely to swell. but also said that because the plug is rated for 10.5v that i need a resistor to drop voltage from...
Both lights are on with key in on position. put new batts in, optima 800s, and after 20+ cranks finally started. runs terribly. Possible fuel issue but at least charging system is working. Ive read it a hundred times on this site, be ABSOLUTELY sure batts are fully charged!
having same problem. have original batteries, slow crank, no start. had both batts tested at autozone and appeared fine. pulled both alts and starter and had them tested. all working fine. i can only suggest replacing batteries and cleaning every connection so you know for certain its not the...
Raf32, just had a similar problem today. Voltmeter has always been in the yellow with the key in "on" position and its always started hard, a separate issue im still diagnosing. 2 or 3 cranks in the cold. Then once it started all was well volts were green. But today by the third crank volts were...
Hi
Could somebody perhaps post a couple pictures of the ashtray. Specifically the springs and whatever mechanism keeps it closed. Mine wont stay in the up position and cant for the life of me figure out how its done. Hopefully if i can see it i can recreate it.
Thanks
Having same issue. Replaced relay, bypassed resistor and controller card. starts like a champ now but light goes back on after start and stays on for 30 sec or so. So replacing the relay and bypassing the card wont shut the light off. And save you cash on relay if its not necessary. Just paid 65...
