Thank you everyone for your thoughts on this. I sure do hope all that it is is a crossed line somehow, even though I have examined the diagram in the TM quite a bit. I will take some pictures tomorrow just for the heck of it, so there is NO doubt among all of us that they are hooked up...
I just got finished putting a new radiator fan on the truck. I put everything back together and let her run for about 5 minutes, checking for leaks and what not. All was good. After shut down I popped the Coolant reservoir and saw oil. I dipped my finger in it and it seemed like A LOT of oil has...
Many people have used stuff called Syle-Glide, found at NAPA. It is a paste like lubricant. I myself used the stuff and found it quite useful on the grommets, and O rings.
Thanks for the warning. My Brooklyn native wife, probably never thought in a million years that a deuce and a half would be rolling through her old neighborhood with her sitting passenger:driver:. It should be interesting.
I too am getting ready to transfer up to NYC this summer, IAW Uncle Sam's wishes. Gonna be leaving A LOT of firearms behind due to legality issues:roll:. Some of us just dont have a choice in the matter.
Exactly what I thought! I dont have access to the TM at the moment and didnt want to post the wrong info. I started getting worried that I didnt do my own right. Thanks for the clarification Ray.
Well the reason I say "golden" is that it might as well be made of gold! They run around 500 dollars and up for just 1 yes 1. Many vendors out there have them, just do some searching. You should download the TMs on our truck in the applicable aection of this website. As long as you are disabling...
Your outer hub seal is most likely leaking... I had the same problem as you, but on all 4 of my rear tires because the ninkompoop in the Army used a screw driver to tighten the spindle nuts over the seal! needless to say they were not tightened to the proper torque if any... Any way your part...
Could it be your brake shoes rubbing on the drum? That would cause rubbing sounds and heat if they were out of adjustment... with the wheel off does free spinning the hub give you any of the symptoms?
Hello all, I had a great time on saturday with everyone. Thanks for having me along on my first event with SS. I look forward to seeing more of you again!
I thought A3s didnt have an injector pump??? Algae in lines? get some Biocide! was the oily water seperator peeing like a faucet before this happened? I might suggest the fuel pump taking a dump but, you said you couldnt pressurize with air... Please keep us posted!
What is wrong with Red river depot? history of bad rebuilds??? I am genuinely curious.
another question iv'e been asking myself and others for years now but get no real answer : why doesn't the military sell the unarmored HWMMVs like the dueces and the 5 tons? Just makes no sense to destroy...
I wont have the problem of chafing because the A3 has the neato rubber floor mats already installed8-). Yes I absolutely agree that anyone with the bare metal floor should get a rubber pad/ coupler of sorts to alleviate that problem that would certainly exist.
1-2 more days and she'll be ready...
I dont have anything on the bottom of the rifle at the moment. I am confident that the rubber clamp is holding it tight enough that it will prevent any movement. It is really snug when synched! I wont be able to know for sure until i am finished with my tire swap and take her for a spin.
