    My m925a1 build "Brutus"

Excellent job on getting Brutus up to speed with your attention. I had a question about the quick connect fittings for the axles. I am guessing those are 1/8" NPT or 1/4" NPT to fit the axle housing? Yes I am lazy to go out and look myself. I had thought to add a 2-3psi pressure regulator to a...

HEMTT vs M-915 tire /rim compatibility

The M915- M916s are very heavy. HEMTT wheels are the ticket as they are 10 Ton rated. You will need the offset lug nuts that have a recessed cone that is threaded to ensure a proper number of threads grab, same as what a 5 ton would use to properly mount them. I have seen some for sale like...

Hemtt vs combat vs normal rim identification?

I have all my tires on HEMTT wheels. If you choose to run them on the rear the rear tires will be INSET just as much as the front tires will be OFFSET. So the front and rear will track several inches off of each other. The benefit is that all your tires will be interchangeable. This pic is back...

Hemtt vs combat vs normal rim identification?

HEMTT wheel. Two piece. Outside wheel front is flat across the bolt pattern and 16 wheel bolts. This one is steel.

NHC250 Add Ether Injector for cold start. Without a turbo, With a turbo

I live in Utah and it doesn't get too cold here but yes, cold is not what the NHC250 likes. Since the NHC250 is a dog to start in the cold, has anyone added an ether injector to their setup to assist in those cold days? Now I do have the heater element, and my primer does seem to work, but it...

    Superthermal's M813 Build, THE BOT

Swapped out the power steering hose that had poked a hole back in Febuary. That road side fix was so good I was lazy and put off installing the fixfor way to long. I had to cut the original tube off with a small tubing cutter to get it out from behind the other steering hydraulic line. The new...

Agreed! I am sure those washers are going to look more rusted than that exhaust manifold in no time.

does a 24V alternative intake heater exist? (versus 12V CH48 champion heater plug for NHC250 cummins)

I was wondering if I go to a big cam intake inter-cooler if I would loose my heater or if there is a need to switch over to an either injector instead.

    Heater core replacement? M925a2.

I replaced mine with an aluminum one that was a bit different. Works fine. Ended up mounting it with some nice felt around the outside of it and press fitted it into a comfy bed in the housing with about the same angle as you see here...

Davit crane mods for an M813 / A1 with 16.00R20s

Given me some great ideas as I am still looking into how to make a double tire carrier that will fit my pair of 16.00R20 spares. I have an S-280 in the back of mine and I am considering having both on swing out "door"arms on the back, one will be outside the rear tailgate and the second inside...

    Superthermal's M813 Build, THE BOT

@US6x4 WOW all my hoses look brand new in comparison to what your holding onto there. Ruff! Heater is in, I did a pre-test of it first in the kitchen. It begins to boil water in 4 seconds. I replaced the 1 1/2"x 3" long hoses, as I cracked a bit of the braided strands in them getting the drop...

    Superthermal's M813 Build, THE BOT

I am finally getting around to doing an Antifreeze change and a block heater add in + a inline coolant filter which will be placed inline with the replacement heater core I purchased early this year. To do this with a full flush I drained all what I could from the radiator then pulled the...

@NebraskaFan, you are correct on the hood. Unfortunately my hood is caved in up next to the cab and actually has been rubbing a hole through the hood where the chain lift plates of the motor have been rubbing on it. I am guessing from a bunch of our great boys in camo were climbing up on the...

    Superthermal's M813 Build, THE BOT

Ended up buying 5 gallons of the NAPA SCA Precharged Concentrate Antifreeze. Friend has a Napa Commercial Acct and was able to get it to me for significantly less than the 22 dollars it normally goes for. I have some distilled water to mix it up with. I will be adding a block heater (that...

Anti-freeze SCA additives, Do they affect the freeze point? One SCA better at this than another?

I will be doing my anti-freeze flush soon and am looking to go 60/40 for the maximum low freeze point of Glycol/water mix. My question is anyone hear of any issues of SCA additives making the freeze point raise from this? or significantly affect the freeze point of the perfect 60/40 mix? Anyone...

Went to the Utah MV Summer outing up American Fork Canyon. Had a great time! Rig worked flawless and I even slept in the S-280 shelter which was awesome. Great times! Will be heading to hit the next one for fall sometime in October.

    MRAP beadlock

These were the MRAP wheels. You can see how thick the aluminum is on the wheel mounting face. I have seen several offsets of this type of wheel.

Anyone know what the MRAP wheel part number is for aluminums for gov planet?

Looks to be a steel wheel to me. Titan 5 ton combat wheel. https://www.govplanet.com/for-sale/Parts-%2827%29-Titan-05-10058-00060-Wheels-North-Carolina/10216244?h=5000%2Cq%7C05-10058-00060&rr=1&hitprm=&pnLink=yes
