    MRAP beadlock

The MRAP wheels I purchased off GOVPLANET, with XZL 16.00R20s, had Hutchinson solid rubber run flats in them.

    818 pintle hitch trailer????

I have been looking at this same idea. I have a S-280 shelter now and am loving it. So much so that I am tinkering with the idea to get a M1082 or M1095 to keep a second one on. Some of the things I found that I liked was the M1082 was rated at 5000lbs offroad but weighs a bit over 6000 lbs...

    Superthermal's M813 Build, THE BOT

Drove in the Provo Grand Parade in the Vietnam Era group. Somewhere around 330,000 people estimated to be in attendance. Followed an M35 that looked like it just came off the plane from Vietnam. That rig totally fitting the feel of the era. I felt ashamed I had even washed my tires! Twice...

    Another tire question

When I pulled the Huchinson solid runflat out of the MTVR tire wheel combos I bought, and put them into my HEMTT wheels with 16.00R20 XZLs there was definitely a 3/8 or so compression of the inner bead-lock against the tire bead to ensure it is never going anywhere.

    Replacing Differential Gear Oil

I did 9 gallons of 75w-90 Lucas Synthetic. (and the T-case and Transmission too) Since I did that I haven't noticed my outer hub leak into the drum on my two previously leaky seals. I would have normally seen a tiny bit of grease sling onto my inner side of my drivers side rear tires as has been...

    M818 brake issue

This front glad hand being shut off and not open on my rig was my brake problem. Took me some time to figure it out!

    Superthermal's M813 Build, THE BOT

Changed the oil on this Past Saturday and had some "Trouble" getting the filter canister to seal over the new filter. Tightened it three times before I was not getting any drips out of it. Sure makes you uneasy when you start considering each gallon is 20 bucks and removing the canister to...

Picked up 7 Gallons of the Synthetic Mix Rotella T5 oil for an oil change and... Bought off of GOVPlanet an S-280 Box on a spirt of the moment buy. I told myself if I can buy it before fees for less than a thousand I will get it. ... Sold for $997. LOL. So I drove 1450 miles round trip to...

Putting super singles on a m814.

I am running all HEMTT wheels. This sets the front wider and the rear narrower. The front tracks about 2 1/2 to 3 inches wider than the rear. If I was running HEMTT in the front only and combat wheels on the rear, like Simp is suggesting, the rear tires would track much closer to the width of...

    Turbo for NHC250 Cummins?

I have been researching this quite a while and have a couple of takeaways with not having done this mod as of yet. 1. Many comments from others state that after adding a pyro on even a non-turbo'ed NHC250 that the exhaust temperature is way higher than they ever expected and after viewing it...

    Superthermal's M813 Build, THE BOT

Bought from the MV Idaho Motor Pool Auction some parts. A mighty thanks to some of the other MV owners here in UT that went in on some of the bids with me and split up parts which made it a much more economical thing. Picked up 4 Torque Rod Ends, an NHC250 oil filter, a NHC250 head gasket kit, a...

    Superthermal's M813 Build, THE BOT

I have never had synthetic in the axles or t-case. Had Valvaline 90w before. Has a 205 transfercase and Dana 60 front and Dana 70 in the rear. Averaged 67 or so mph, No overdrive in this, just a 3 speed auto.

    Superthermal's M813 Build, THE BOT

Drove my Dodge 1990 12 valve Cummins 800 miles round trip to the MV Idaho Motor Pool Auction with this new Lucas synthetic oil in the Tcase and axles and counted a little over 19 MPG on the way up and 18.5 on the way back loaded with about 1500lbs in the bed. I have never had that mileage...

M1095 Maximum size tire that can be run. Will 16.00 R20s fit?

Can anyone out there with a M1095 measure the distance between the hub centers for me? I would like to have one of these M1095s and was wondering if I can put matching 16.00R20s on it so I can maximize my possible spare tire options. BTW, I looked through all the TM section and could not see a...

    My M813 gets a turbo!

Nice work! Would love to see how the exhaust out the back worked out and how the cross over pipe and the hood scoop was done.

    first broken front axle shaft

It is my 1cent opinion, that once your axle shafts have been heavily torqued in the forward direction with "gusto", you should be very cautious when using the rig in reverse with the same zeel. Example, you wheel a lot and the shafts are "torqued" into forward flexing memory. Then you reverse on...
