Ok gaining ground I think, took off both leaking tires rims, broke down cleaned up more, lubed up and put back together. Capped off pipe with spare tire valve and aired to 65psi. Soaped good rim halves pipe, rear pipe o-ring area held for 30-45 min no loss. Reinstalled back on truck hooked up...
I stopped by my friends shop and now I have 2 flats on the right side and right front loosing some too. Crap down to 50% of the tires holding air now.
Looks like I will be getting another work out Friday night to get this corrected. I would say further inspection of rim halves, additional...
I switched out all 6 tires 14.5x20 to some new 395's this weekend and 5 of the six went well to say the least. I have problems with 1 and have broke it down 2 times replaced the rim o-ring & the pipe ring too, tightened up and reinstalled on truck, airing up through CTIS valve and at about...
Thanks guys for all the support. Yes I did get the title thing worked out with the owner, she has a Iowa tile, plates, & insurance now. Not sure if the neighbors are sure if I am all there now in the head. I figured if my neighbor down the street can have a big yellow bus I can sure have a...
1993 am general 1,942 miles 347 hrs from waukon iowa. Fort mccoy wi truck. Starts & runs great, 4 hr drive home took a trailer. Bought from 1st owner never took title, spent life on the farm last 3.5 years. Going to give her the tlc she needs now. Solid! Enjoy.
I found the same air dryer and that is a steal @ $120 + shipping. I work in a truck shop and the best I could get a new one for is $365. We don't rebuild dryers anymore it is cheaper to replace them and roll on. Thanks guys for the input keep it coming.
Thanks I agree, these G20's have good tread but are weather cracking bad and 2 of them have been flat for awhile and side walls are not good. I have found some XZL's at a good price.
Thanks guys I do need to service the dryer bad & also sounds like from some other posts adding a little oil to things may help with lubing things up. I will check the regulator and crank it up if needed.
After driving this thing on and off for the last week and this weekend, I see now why...
Recovered a nice one first truck for me. I will get some pics up soon. I have several questions. I have a turn signal flasher problem it takes along time to start flashing, you can run the switch and cut lights off looks like it may be the relay under the hood ideas before I purchase one...
Help, new guy here looking at 1993 M35a3 deuce to purchase close to a deal, truck runs great starts fine, but I cannot get any of the lights to work. The switch does not hardly move in any position. Could it be frozen up inside? Any help in this area would be great. I am sure there is a easy...
Good news the owner for 1 hr this AM, he does have a AZ title to the truck from GL, but has never signed it. I can deal with this with him. He gave me some more info on the truck and sent some pictures. 1993 with 1,941 miles and 347 engine hrs everything works, CAT, Allison, updated cab &...
I agree guys the seller needs to get things figured out if he really wants to sell it. I do have some good resources, I work at a large car dealership and our title clerk has a very good relationship with the county. She got my 105 trailer titled in a snap. Thanks guys for the info.
I am just getting into this new arena and hope to learn a lot from you all. I am trying to decide on some local trucks and would take any input please.
Already bobbed M35a2, but a stacked frame with 53" tires & winch hard top, or M35a3 untitled with all the GL paperwork 6x6 yet. Seller wants...
Were the guys at Camp Dodge good to work with? I am picking up my 105 Thursday & I am not sure what I bought it for yet either. I am getting the Green one. How do you like you M923 so far? How is the Soft top in the winter weather we are having so far? New guy in Polk City.
