Making a light bar over the cab.....Making progress....almost ready to install

I just have two BIG batteries. I would assume the one with the big double cables is the 24v side. Does it matter which one the ground goes to. I don't think it would but...... Goobs

Also, on the box there is a long lead that says to 24v and a short lead that says to 12v. Which post is the 24v post? sorry if that's a dumb question but as I said, I'm new to this 24v thing. Thanks goobs

I was planning on running the lights on 24v. Is there a reason I shouldn't? They are advertised to run 6-32v. Goobs

Making a light bar over the cab.....Making progress....almost ready to install

I just called they guy as well. He said they don't have the breakers and said he could cancel the order if I was not happy. I told him to keep the order and he is only charging me the $4.95 shipping. He did say the blade fuses work in the unit as well as the breakers. No biggie for me as I...

Yeah, that is who I got mine from as well. This box will make my life a ton easier with what I want to hook up. My lights are all going to be 24v and the stereo, back up camera & screen and phone/usb charger are going to be 12v. I got all the wires hooked up for the lights and am installing...

I just got one too for $29.95. It just takes standard blade fuses right? I was told if you have a 30 amp fuse at 12V, it is 15 amp at 24V. Is that right? Thanks Andrmorr for the info

Hey Andrmorr, This unit just plugs on to one terminal of the batteries and gives you both 24v and 12v terminals? Sorry for my ignorance, the 24 v is all new to me. Thanks Goobs

Hi Rob, I will definitely make a few sets of brackets if there is interest. I can probably have some in a week or two. Would you need an offset or just flat? Ill have to call TMG and see what they have. Thanks Goobs

I'll check into making some extra brackets. Not into it to make money off people but I can see how cheap I can get some made. Thanks for the compliments. Anyone know the best place to tap into 24v power from under the dash or do you think I should run a line straight from the batteries...

Making a light bar over the cab.....Making progress....almost ready to install

No, I don't have the templates, but I could probably make one. The reason for the bumpouts was if I didn't do that, the mounting brackets for the outside lights would have been right on the endpiece and would have been difficult to mount with the bolts. Again, my abilities are not that...

Making a light bar over the cab.....Making progress....almost ready to install

Thanks guys. Yes we used a plasma cutting table then ground the edges so they weren't sharp. I wanted them to be the same height as the roof just for a sleek look. I want a hard top in the future and this should work with a hard top from what I have seen. I also wanted the windows to still...

Making a light bar over the cab.....Making progress....almost ready to install

This entire mount cost me $50.00 in materials and welding and the lights were $175.00 for all 3. Lights came from eBay. I used a 52" in the center that has spot and flood and then I used 2 14" on the outside. Since the span is so great, there weren't any lights made that would work all in one...

Making a light bar over the cab.....Making progress....almost ready to install

Been working on this light bar trying to figure out the best way to do it with my limited resources. Making brackets to attach to the side of the window frame, then attach 2" x 1" angle across with the lights mounted to. That way I can hid the wiring as well. I am using a 52" main with two...

Removing and installing a soft top on a m925a2 ?

Thanks for the info. I'll need to wait till its not 29 and icy out. When it's off, I was thinking of hitting it with thompsons or some sot of scotch guard stuff for patio furniture. Goobs
