Desert southwest don't see a lot of freezing weather. It has warmed up a lot lately. I have replaced air dryer last year. Don't know if it will help but I do have horn and wipers . So thinking I may need a air dryer service kit.
So got new one mounted and in... new issue. With power on now it won't energize properly. I have to get out and push in stub . Then wI'll start. Should I look at the grounds and make sure are good ? Could that be why it don't pull in automatically like use to?
So last week I was lucky enough for my fuel shut off solenoid to go out. Well new part cam in and kinda running. My new issue today is the air pressure... for some reason it is building crazy pressure close to 150 psi so shut it down and drained tanks. Anyone have idea what decided to go out now...
There are a lot. a good friend of mine has a true 5th wheel plate number he made it is really great. I will ask him if ok to post it on here for others to see how he did his. I have posted min in a new line or subject. We are all about sharing ideas ! **** that's what this community is for right!
931a2 travel trailer hauler
So I know lots of times people have wanted to haul their 5th wheel with there 5 ton. I was the same and the whole set up was about 300.00. I used an Anderson coupler (gooseneck type connection) I went with it cause it is literally almost level at a 5th wheel plate...
If you like I can tell you how to do the set up. It cost maybe about 250-300 to do. I will look up the parts I used. And what not. Right now almost done with a gooseneck configuration. ... just net some last things to finish and send off to my mechanical engineering pal.
So since I last posted and know the post is old. I thought I would still share a pic of my 932a2 with my 5th wheel... took lots of research but got it figured outlok.
Well plain and simple my emergency shut off fried... What i did was start truck to let warm up like i always do. Went inside to do some things . Came back out and truck was not running anymore so a little puzzled. I climbed into cab to see what was up, could smell burned wire.. My mind started...
Well with them being more hard to get your hands the value and need for them has gone up a bit lol. Plus who wants to pat 1500.00 for a new one? Yes it would be nice but..... I have other toys I could buy with that money... but that's me. I did get mine to fit a little bit better. Just waiting...
Don't really want to take back off. Don't have any help and it was a booger to start with.... But sure me being short didn't help much. I will wait till summer comes and let it cook a little then hit it with some ice..... If it don't work I guess I will have not much choice but to pull off and...
I was kinda thinking of doing the old hair dryer and dried ice method. May still try see what it does. As to where I got top. I got from another member. And I did know it was dented and I did know it was not perfect. So no blame to him.
Well I finally had good weather and time home to put on my hardtop. Took about 4 hours from start to finish. That was with removing to old soft top and mounting and bolting most of new hardtop down by myself. The issues I am now having is trying to get the dents out of the top. I have tried...
I will be very interested in how you set up the 5th wheel... one other thing have to remember is pinbox height ... a little is a big pain on rear axle.
