Use your travel locks on your cradle and ring as their intended and I wouldnt suspect youd have any troubles driving around on the streets. Ive put numerous miles on my truck with my 60 on the ring, no problems.
If I was constantly offroad, I'd have it removed unless someone was up in the ring.
Im a ixture of everything. I usually tend to drive it moderately, but being a diesel it needs some work load on it. So I'll run it hard through the gears and blow smoke occasionally.
The good thing about a gun truck is that they were built off of GI ingenuity. Each one was different, so you cant really go wrong with whatever you want to do.

"1958 M274" posted up that he offers M60 replicas. Dont what they look like, but they're made of metal it seems. I'd take that over the resin stuff.
If I might add, Id look for a M2 .50 dummy if youre can only afford/looking for a dummy. While I have a 60 and like seeing it on my ring...
Our ring had some difficulties spinning. I wound up taking the top off of it and giving it a good cleaning with some compressed air and nice lubricating afterwards. Now it spins effortlessly.
As for the reinforcement plate. We havent installed ours yet, but im sure in the near future. Our...
