I'd get a deuce just because they're big enough to get what it sounds you want done, but small enough you can still wrench on them in your drive way. And parts availability.

Just received my M142 Cradle. Tried placing it in my ring mount, but the darn thing is to short to be caught by the pintle lock to be captured and secured. TM 9-1005-245-14 says this cradle and ring should work and has no mention of adapters etc. What's up?

So far I think they're pretty easy to work on. However Ive yet to have to swap the motor or transmission....

Yeah all three of my legs are different. Just I have more than the 4 holes holes in the leg than the picture above shows. Im wondering that since rings and contracts obviously change over the years, that maybe the extra hole were added to work on rings that maybe have different hole setups...

Here's are some pics for the way she's mounted at each leg thus far. As I noted, I think with the rear drivers leg and passenger front leg we can get all the 4 necessary bolts done with some tinkering.

Re: RE: Legal use of veggie oil as a fuel That's kinda what I was thinking. I dont think you'd have any issues using it as on off-road fuel. But once you start roaring down the highways using it. The govt starts worrying about not getting their tax money.

RE: Re: RE: Gun Ring Mounted Got the ring spinning. Took the top cover off and shot it with some oil. Cant make it go around in circles with one throw. But it'll move 3/4 way around. Lot better than what it was doing yesterday.

Got the gun ring mounted on the deuce today. Not to difficult, just hot and constantly trying to level and line things up. Still needs a little adjusting. As the ring is difficult to turn. Dont know if it could be just needs grease or because it's very so slightly unlevel/torqued one way...

Ok so probably by next week all our parts will finally be here to throw this thing on the truck. Question is does anyone have an online source, some pics they can provide, or a manual I can purchase for what mounting hardware we need and which reenforcement plates go where etc?
