We have some ten foot ramps under the right side
of the bed for cars, atv’s etc. held in a square U
shaped metal angle brackets with a shelf in the middle
to keep them separate. There about 14” wide? With a
small chain keeper that we can lock it need be.
We put a TAS 80 powersteering box on ours
( got it new from vanderhags) $400, it’s
off of a big snow plow. a cat
hydraulic pump. $129( bolts to the back of the
aircompresser) a unjoint from borgelesons?
$35 and could not be happier. Would not change
the feel by a ounce rather way.
plus we put...
Don’t make the same mistake we did, we put
2 (two) of them on our truck so now anytime
we drive very far we have to find a place to drain
the extra fuel it keeps putting back in to our tank.
the EPA is all over us.
Who’s army is he in?, 12 (twelve) volts.
Below approximately 100 degrees water
temp ( temperature taken at the center
of cylinder head)the glow plugs will
cycle to improve cold temp idle.
As I understand it, the glow plugs run off 12 volts
you could run them on 24 but be very quick
about it. People have hard wired them to 24 volts
and then wonder why they fail and are swollen up
upon removal.
Disconnect your supply line, keep it upright and cap.
drain your tank( it’s a pain in the wallet) pressure
wash the tank. Adjust the pickup tube while your
there
fill, then reconnect supply line, and fire up.
have done it to several “A3s” never had to bleed
injectors. and in colder climates...
I say press on, sounds totally doable.
it’s a little known fact that the
heavier load you carry and the faster you go
the better fuel mileage you get.
But the govment keeps deleting it from
the intronet, example, try to find out
why real smarter fellers line the tinfoil
hat with lead based...
That does not include the cost of a dozen rose’s
that when I caught my pants on fire while
plasma cutting the backing plate and the the
husband thru water on me and then commence’s
to laugh his a** off. When it happens to him
he’s gonna need a snorkel!!!
We used a new TAS 65 steering gear box from
a snow plow. Got it from “Vanderhaggs” in Kansas
City. Ordered a longer torque arm from a truck
junk yard. Steering “u joints from burglelsons??
a CAT hydraulic pump that bolts up to the air
Compressor. Plasma cut out a “3/8 back up plate.
We have...
Haveing the option to have two wheel drive in a
transfer case along with selectable front hubs
is awesome. Besides who needs front brakes on
a 6,000 lbs vehicle. True out of the box thinking.
