If you are talking about the steel tank mounted on top they can be found on e-bay to fit the Chinese knock off engines. Search for L70 or L100 fuel tank. Some are sold with all hardware and filter. The big fitting that is on the bottom of the 016D tank is unique to the 016D. It appears...
Sometimes these are a bugger to bleed. Here is a tip. Remove the recoil starter housing and spin them with an electric drill using a socket on the crank nut. Hold the decomp lever down by hand and have the injection line cracked at the injector, and the run lever set to full fuel. Spin it...
I think there is a pair yanmars for sale right now plus an onan marine genset from a running takeout.
I thought the yanmars were decent if not held at max power for longer than spec. they are pretty small displacement.
802 and 803 are very nice units.
Here is my load bank I made. I was lucky to get 3 new but obsolete 5000watt 240 volt electric furnace elements on e-bay for a total of the starting bid of $1.00 plus $12 to ship. I had to buy the switches and I decided to use a breaker panel as my buss with...
Here is a great link on the CARC. It explains a lot. Even states how the green paint simulates vegetation in the near infrared spectrum and the tan is resistant to absorbing heat.

Sure, but I'm no expert on the pricing. Others here may chime in and be more accurate. Tear it down into pieces and list the items separately on e-bay or wherever. I would imagine the injection pump $225, 2 injectors $50 ea, Starter $100, glow plugs and manifold heaters $65 for all, would be...
CARC means it was painted in Dec '06. CARC= Chemical Agent Resistant Coating. Made to seal gaps and allow pressure washing with aggressive cleaners. I believe it is currently a polyurethane base paint from what I have read. If you google CARC and CARC specs you will get a bunch of hits. Just...
MEP-002A. Last year there were a fair quantity of crate engines released to the buying public. Some are showing up in the usual places for sale. Asking prices have been between $450 and $950+ The ones I have seen at the lower end don't last long at all. Somewhere in the middle is probably...
I have had 5 of these units. They are pretty light duty. I have had a custormer fail 2 stators and I have failed one stator. The engine runs a little on the dirty side but is quiet compared to the Yanmars and it is very well balanced and smooth. Diesel fuel conditioner helps it run better...
Just curious. What would be your price points for buy (acquire) and sell retail? Are you going to offer warranty? Give example for any of the models you are researching. Thanks,
Metering pump. The one on the right. After removing all the lines it should lift straight out when unbolted from the block. The steel line on top goes to the injector. Try loosening it on the injector as well and see if it can be moved out of the way. If it has a clamp on it somewhere then...
If it is the shaft that has the round button on it's lever that the the fuel solenoid is pushing against then that means the injection pump plunger is frozen in the injection pump. The injection pump bolts in from the top and it has a pin that is moved by a fork inside the block on the end of...
Yes lower tank float is working if the fuel pump solenoid kicks on. But, just to make sure the float has not been bypassed put the switch in the run position and move the float up and down and confirm the solenoid going on and off as the float is moved. Put a meter on the wire to the pump and...
You can take the other (aux) pump apart (carefully) to see how the first one goes together. Its not a bad idea to clean off the magnet and the fuel screen anyway. If the main pump is bad and the aux pump is working then move it to the main position and run as is until a replacement is found...
Yes the wire is potted into the RF supressor. Cut it out and reattach the ends of the wires. Usually there is plenty of length to work with. A good way to do it is to solder the wires back together and use heat shrink on them but a wire nut with some tape over it will work fine too.
It seems like we just had a post regarding the fuel solenoid not working. See if you can find it. Unplug the solenoid and make a jumper using standard crimp on female spade connectors. Short the solenoid to the battery and see if it works. Usually it does and the problem is elsewhere. See...
Agree. If the pump does not work with 24vdc applied first take the end cap off and make sure the plunger can move freely. If it does move freely reassemble and cut out the RF supressor and wire it direct and try again. 50% of the main pumps I see on the 016E are bad and 50% of those bad ones...
Good job, I like it. Everything looks tidy and well placed. I think you wil be very happy with that arrangement in the long run. One thing you might consider adding is a cutoff switch on the crossover cable. By opening the cutoff each battery may be charged with a 12 volt charger without...
