Thanks. I did that too, but the biggest problem I had was the strikers were in to far-up and down adjustment wasn't the biggest issue. So I had to move the strikers out in order to get the doors to close completely.

Can you use a shifter assembly meant for the 4L80 an put it in a HMMWV that still has the 3L80 that currently doesn't have park but will as soon as the parts in the trans get replaced. Im just not sure if you can put that shifter in then adjust it to have the park function work when it also has...

Ok just so I understand what I need for my 1989 HMMWV then. It has what appears to be the stock cv axles or the A0, 7700# version. From my understanding the replacement one, bolt in, no modifications neccassary, etc., is the 10k version. Is that correct?
