    M998 made it home safely

I don't think all of the positive camber is coming from your springs. Take a look at the upper control arm where it bolts to the frame, there is probably shims between the frame and upper control arm mounting flanges. Let us know what you find.

Upgrading my seats, thanks Mike for getting them for me

That's exactly what I was thinking about doing. Probably be my winter project I'm thinking. I also like your center seat, what I put in mine is a modified aftermarket UTV seat that is made to face rearward in a UTV box. I just narrowed an lowered it to fit better.

Upgrading my seats, thanks Mike for getting them for me

Holy smokes! Ya I'll probably use the existing seats for a while! I actually thought about redoing my seats with thicker an bigger seat foam an new fabric. Then taking it to one of my Amish neighbors that does some upholstery work to have them sew it all up as the work they do decent work for...

    Looking for this part

Thanks guys, I thought about robbing one from another spot but with my luck I'd need that one too for a hair brain idea a month later! I might just order a couple new ones then, unless I have to buy a case of 500 or something! I'll look into it a little more. Thanks again.

    Looking for this part

I need the retainer that rivets to the body-hopefully you can see what I mean in the pic-the twist plug from the dog house attaches too it. Does anybody have one they would like to part with? If you do please let me know along with the price an we can make the arrangements. Thanks

Thanks for all the info, I do need a couple more things an I found what else I need an the idler an pitman arm right here in WI at Oshkosh Truck so I'll probably order the stuff from them as the prices weren't to bad plus its kinda local (3 hours away from me).

Pitman Arm and Idler Arm HMMWV

Thanks, I called my local parts store an it was around $500 for the idler arm an $300 for the pitman arm using the H1 as a parts look up! Yikes! Sooo needless to say I'll be ordering them online. He even told me that was ridiculous an to get them online somewhere instead.

Pitman Arm and Idler Arm HMMWV

Does anybody know if the HMMWV shares the same pitman and idler arm as the civilian H1?

Kaydon Filter A910428 cross reference #

Does anybody have any other fuel filter options? Like a WIX, Fram, Napa, Car Quest, etc., part #?

    What would you do differently?

I would think about any upgrades (if any) you want to do and start sourcing an ordering things you want. I would also read up on the maintenance manual an buy all the fluids, tranny pan gasket, filters, etc., so you have everything to do a full service on it as soon as you get it an if anything...

Won an auction, waiting for the EUC to clear on my M998

Congrats! I just picked up my first Humvee last week actually. :) I waited 16 looooong weeks for my EUC to clear. You won't accrue any storage fee's as I had called GP and asked the same question. They informed me that while waiting for EUC clearance storage fee's are not applied.

Identifying two things, aux cables, Small tube on wheel

Well I can see the self recovery being a possibility as from having practiced such things growing up on a farm-don't ask the methods we used though! :) However, just using a bar or piece of pipe isn't really possible in this case as the hub is recessed inside of the tire so to speak and is...

Identifying two things, aux cables, Small tube on wheel

Ok, so we got the cables are for the radio/coms, but the brackets are for rail transport and not part of a duel purpose self recovery apparatus/transport option then?

Identifying two things, aux cables, Small tube on wheel

Ok, can somebody please enlighten me as to what the bracket was used for on the rear hub and also what the auxiliary cables were used for? Thanks

Nope just a written warning. :) I do think its illegal to not like beer though, and that's one area I definitely obey the law. :)

Nobody is acting tough, just stating facts from my experience is all, I'm sorry if you feel that facts are tough. Speaking of facts, I am still awaiting for you to show me where I had said or quoted something to have mislead you in assumptions and ignorance. I don't know of any problems on...
