    The 666 is finally home

Here are a couple more new pictures. Got the truck running again today, still getting air from somewhere...or my injector pump is shot. It won't run unless someone is on the fender pumping the primer. I took a shot of the ID tag for the truck to show that this is a White 666ECT....I don't know...

Also, my air pump works great, that was a big surprise, but the lines to the front and rear trailer conection are cut and bent over, the pressure in the tanks bled off in about 5min. I haven't tried to drop it into gear or move the PTO till I have all the chains free and the u-joins...

    The 666 is finally home

Well, I did figure out it is a'45 ECT tractor, the data plates were in the glove box, took a bit of work to get it opened (i'll get a picture of them posted in the morning). I have both side panels, just had them off on both sides to access the starter and pump on the cummins a little easyer...

    The 666 is finally home

Ok, I had a semi busy couple of days working on the 666. Finally got it fired up with surprisingly little smoke, considering the truck hasn't ran in so long, the fuel is pretty old and the amount of cranking I had to do to get everything primmed and ready. The only major issue i had (other then...

    The 666 is finally home

I have the lowest bottom of the barrel H1 model....or so i am told....the tags are not where they should be on this engine, as it was rebuilt at some point after '68 and the rebuilders tag in there now where the factory one should be(the rebuilder is still in business, opened shop in...

    The 666 is finally home

Ok, after a morning of inspecting the condition on the wire harnesses in this truck, I've decided that it will be 100 time more cost and time effective to just rewire the entire truck. Most of the wiring currently in the truck is the original cloth wraped stuff that has been out in the AZ heat...

Also, I do have the list of operation/maintence/parts and crane manuals...I CAN download them, but I prefer hard copies to review. Each is 250+ pages except for the crane usage....its only 103.

    The 666 is finally home

ok...A little more info to prevent further rants.......Prior to paying for the truck - fluids were drained, inspected and changed in the engine, trans, t-case. The fluid in the diff's was just checked no service needed. Engine was turned over by socket/breaker bar to ensure it was not locked up...

    The 666 is finally home

After a long day, my truck is finally home sitting in front of my house. It is amazing how many neibors I have that I had never met till this thing was rolling down off the lowBoy. Not sure how many were scared and how many were just in awe of this thing sitting there. Anyways, im heading to...

This is just info to an very old reply on this post...not trying to call anyone out and i am sure it has been covered many times. This is also just from MY experiance. Take it however you feel like. The only reason frames were not/are not welded is for the speed of build(rivets take less time...
