    F-16 tail FS

I was part of the team that has to stabilize wreckage (now its all civilian)...we used just plain wal-mart brand floor wax to seal the fibers for transport. There is no destroying the stuff, burning it only releases the fibers, storing it only lets it break down and release fibers....alot of it...

    F-16 tail FS

The crash was about 16 Sept 1997, and all the pieces that he has have been exposed to salt water which is grounds for a complete write off (the 2nd jet in the crash was repaired and flown till some time between 2003-2007 when it was sent to the boneyard), are old tech (as far as the f-16 goes)...

    F-16 tail FS

Forgot to add bedore, don't mess with the carbon on the leading edge of that thing, bonding agents were not as good back in '84 as they are now. Those carbon particles will embed in your skin and lungs, can cause alot off health issues. Pour regular floor wax on any exposed areas, it'll prevent...

Help identifying a Willys Jeep W/Pics.

Im not so sure this is 100% correct, look at the pics of my '57 cj3b above and you will see the drain holes very clearly, the 3B was just a 3A with an extra 6 inches added in the cowl area. I recent picked up a '56 DJ3A tub (think...2wd MD style back without a tailgate) that also has the drain...

Need to move a NON-running truck in AZ

Getting the truck to an open and accessable area isn't to bad, the guy does run an active farm and has large tractors available, I am not planning to move it till the end of the month or just after the 1st...so I've got some time to plan and look for the best deal.

    F-16 tail FS

Just for info on this old post...here is the mishap report for this crash. Collided with an F-16C (84-1286) from the same squadron over the Atlantic just off the coast. The two aircraft were to rendezvous just after take-off. There destination was Whiskey-107, an ocean training area located 40...

I am trying to figure out how im going to get my 666 moved from the yard I got it from to the yard I am going to store the truck in till I can get it inspected running right and licenced. Front axles locked

Ditto what they said, those early front dana's are also bad about breaking off ring gear teeth when they are abused (think spinning in the dirt, then hitting asphalt), that will lockup a diff quicker then sh!t...ask me how I know.

Ready to take the next step...WC-6 Restoration

That old coupe body that they cut up to make that cab could be worth quite a bit on its own. would just have to find a set of quarter panels and a cowl to put it back together. Its a 1933 dodge or plymouth by the way.....if you were wondering.

New guy with an OLD truck

Thanks for the info, I read a little about the timkens before you posted, but the bulk of the info was on the 3/4 and 1 ton set ups in the willys pickups. The redline an this cummins is somewhere between 1750 and 1900rpm stock, I may start looking for a newer cummins 220, as my original H-6 is...

New guy with an OLD truck

Guess this post got to popular in the "im new" topics and got moved, but thats cool I guess. To the guys that have these 666 trucks....what are you getting for top road speeds? I do intend to use this truck once in a while, so I may be looking for a gearing change. Boyce equipment in ogden utah...

    Cummins H series Performance upgrades?

So, has anyone who has worked on the old cummins H series diesels done anything to up the performance at all? Pump mods, head work, turbo set ups?....pretty much anything at all. I know it would be alot more cost effective to do an engine swap at some point, but the shock factor of a mildly...
