    MEP-802a fuel/water separator replacement: stuck

Finally was able to remove the filter with an OTC 15” strap wrench and an unbelievable amount of force. I doubt the filter was ever changed in it’s service life. Amazing difference, the engine starts nearly instantly in 40degree weather without using the preheater glow plugs... Sent from my...

    MEP-802a fuel/water separator replacement: stuck

Ok, I’m servicing all filters but am stymied on the water separator. HD strap and band style tools are just crushing the housing with no relief. I niw have the top and side panel removed so I have clear access to the filter mount laterally. Any suggestions on next steps/tools to get the filter...

    Another MEP-802 standby generator thread

Interesting. For a 240V installation up to 30A my research on this forum, TM, code, other sources pushed me towards the current design. I’m happy with the external L14-30 input for the MEP-802 or other portable generators in this class. It gives me flexibility to connect a wide range of...

Got installed on the island - MEP-803a

Good point on voltage regulation response time to load. I run a surge suppressor on the main electrical panel to give the home a safety margin on voltage spikes/transients. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

12” wiper blade modification. Drilled out the center rivet and used through bolt to avoid modifying arm in case I ever need to go back to OEM style. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
