Old post acknowledged but good source of information on the DB2 pump. The pump is leaking from the throttle shaft on my 998 but is otherwise working to expectations. I'm debating replacing the shaft seals while on the vehicle since I have to R&R the intake manifold anyway (valve cover seal...

Finally getting around to painting the Plan B hard top.

That was exactly where I thought it should go. I gather the tolerances on this part are wide indeed. I had to take the die grinder to one bolt hole to give me enough clearance to engage the stud and start the bolt. The bend radius of the tabs is slightly off but they conformed to fit just fine...
Could someone with a 6.2l 998 take a few pics of how this bracket mounts to the manifold studs on the left rear side?

Having a heck of a time figuring out how this mounts back on the intake manifold studs. Anyone have a detailed picture or TM?

I’m using the right stuff. I finished sealing it up yesterday. Hopefully it’s sealed well.
The LT cover was clearly serviced in recent history with a cork gasket and it leaked. The RT cover is sealed with RTV and has no leaks.

A commercial truck shop will have the rack and fortitude to align it. Expect to pay for several hours of labor though...

Check your fuel supply circuit.
My 802 developed a hard start condition below 50. Turned out to be the fuel water separator

Finished cleaning up the battery box and replacing the missing hold down bracket. The box had some minor corrosion which I neutralized and painted. The battery terminals needed some work to correct for over tightening, hammering etc.

I was very fortunate to get an 802 in good condition but it still needed work. I would not recommend this to anyone not mechanically inclined with time to burn.
