    Installed pryometer

You are correct, you can pull from 1 battery. Many Mog and Pinz owners do this for all kinds of 12v items. Just make sure you have a shut off switch on the circuit to avoid unwanted drain when the key is off, or the master cut off switch (if equiped) is off. Some guys even rotate battery...

    Making a 2,000 mile trip in a M35A2?

Check the Mexican regs for OD paint  It is not wise to bring any vehicle painted olive drab below the border, as I have been told in the past(years ago) it is reserved for military or police use only

    Loud Grinding Noise

Being the tranny guru of 30 years, I would suggest you check the following items to determine if it is a transmission or release bearing noise. 1, check clutch release bearing, from the description it is not the pilot bearing(would only make noise in gear with clutch released). 2, check trans...

Wisconsin allegedly cancelling Military vehicle titles.

The Pinz meets all Fed DOT regs for Gray market importation, that is why you CAN drive it here. It was also sold to the general public in Europe and the US in civilian models that had a slightly spiffier interior. I even have a PDF of the US sales brochure from 1974 8)

My Humvee M1044 Armament SlantBack pics/Questions

Nice find, is it road legal? I have seen several ex mil Humvee's at Pismo beach, but they all had to be green sticker(off road use only) here in the peoples republic of California.

I will post up a couple Pic's of the U1250 and U1450 that stopped by to pick up their tinted windshiels and door glass from Dave (DSD277 on this list) Dave...

    Calico Mogfest coming up

Mogfest will be held the weekend of October 12, 13, 14 this year at Calico ghost town. Definitely the best place to see Mogs, Pinzgauers, Haflingers, and other cool Euro MV's. Last year there was even a MANN 8x8 camper conversion that was awesome 8) For details see http://www.mogfest.com/

    hot hubs

I find it a bit odd that a diff that large with full floating axles would use only grease on the bearings. All Dana /Spicer60-80 series that I have worked on use the diff oil to lube the axle bearings in the civillian market, so I would check the diff oil level just to be safe.

    Speed/Gearing/Tire size?!?!

It doesn't matter what you do to a th700r4(4L60), big tires will eventually overstress the sun gear shell(rev reaction shell). It's the sad truth  Been building these since they first came out in 83 and ended with the early 93 year models. You will however enjoy higher road spees and...

New member/1009 owner! Tranny problem/random questions

Being a tranny guy(30 yrs), I would pull the governer first and see if it is sticking, if you are pulling the trans yourself then aamco is tearing you a new a hole at that price. Most th400 trannies are very inexpensive to rebuild and the vac modulator is adjustable in most cases. But I would...
