Last one for a little while - until the next show!
Hagerstown MD, May 6th, 2017 - overcast day with a few showers, but the good news is this show is under a pole barn. It's a small show, but a few goodies always seem to show up.
Pic 1-6: definitely not something I would've expected to see...
NEXT SHOW!
Annandale VA - sometime in March 2017 (forget the exact date) - it's never March in VA without cold rain. This is an indoor/outdoor show at a community college, the outdoor part of it was killed by crappy weather.

Again, been a while since I updated this thread, heck it's been a while since I could spend any time on this site period. Life's been handing me some curveballs which have eaten up my time and energy, but I've still been going to the hamfests. Here's some of the military gear I've seen in...
I will be attending the rally from Wednesday afternoon till Saturday afternoon, set up in my usual area in M-2. Things I'm bringing with:
geared lug nut wrench sets, NOS
pioneer tools, axes and shovels
M35 deuce tool box
assorted military radios, cables and accessories, WWII through 1980s...
Doesn't look like there's much to do - contact them and explain that you no longer have the truck. Most I see you'd have to do is fill out an EUC and file it, on a truck you no longer have. They're not asking for the truck back, just looks like they are catching up on paperwork IMHO.
Well, fate has reared it's head again, my health has taken a turn for the worse in recent weeks, and my doctor has me scheduled for an MRI on Saturday, so this trip isn't going to be happening at this time.
Hope you all have a great time - the MTA show in NJ is probably the best show around...
I used to sell surplus for a living bout 15-20 years ago. Back then, I bid on auctions all the time from Tobyhanna PA in the north, as far south as Ft. Bragg in NC, and as far west as Ft. Campbell in KY/TN. I covered a LOT of area. Back when you had to bid on the auctions in person, before...
Looking forward to it!
Last year I set up as a vendor with psycobob, and was disappointed only because I didn't get a chance to personally walk around and see everything, go shopping, meet friends, etc. I was kinda stuck at my spot selling all weekend. No biggie, but this year I will be there...
I will be bringing:
NOS geared lug nut wrenches
new military wood crates of various sizes
assortment of WWII radio equipment
various radio cables and accessories
tools, both hand and power
original G503 wrenches in various sizes
Items I am looking for:
one or two decent sized Hardigg cases...
Here's a flyer from the promoter's page. Hope you can come, it's a modest little get-together, but it's the first one in the Mid-Atlantic for the year. Beats the winter doldrums as we finally get back into the show season!
Wow, looks like it's going to be a record low turnout for this show, it's just going to be me and Art standing around talking to each other. At least I know I'll be in good company. :)
