    HMMWV Boarding Ladder Options?

How many other great excuses does a man come across to buy more military hardware? I'd love to find the real deal to add it to my collection with a great first use, but I do appreciate these smart, budget conscious ideas Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

    HMMWV Boarding Ladder Options?

I had seen an image posted up here a few months back of a fellow that had setup a boarding ladder to more conveniently climb into the bed of his HMMWV. I tried doing a search, but just couldn't find it. I happen to now need to do the same thing. As it turns out, my fiancé really loves...

    PS Monthly - 782 - HMMWV Storage

All good stuff. The -10 TMs include all this information for every version with pretty pictures included, but this is a nice reminder that all of the loose items have a proper place if you'd like to follow the Army example. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

    Soft Doors

If you have $400, order a brand new set and enjoy them for years. If you only have about $50 and lots of time, order marine polished vinyl, a heavy duty zipper, and a speedy stitcher. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

    1993 m998

In theory, the program is for maximum historical accuracy to only display accurate markings. As originally written, you could do this on vehicles painted in a solid color. I see the appeal for collectors and exhibitors, but it doesn't make much for someone just putting their truck to good use...

Inexpensive HMMWV Fuel Tank Drain Plug Replacement

I've got the info I needed from this thread. If I ever have one fail on me on the go or in another time crunch, I can drop in an off-the-shelf plug not rated for fuel and run it for upwards of a year before replacing it with the right plug... but you should replace it with the right plug just...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

The pins for my Luverne guard are pretty stout. I believe they're 0.5" diameter detent pins. Perfect fit. Here's the trick to installing one easily: 1) place the rubber dampener on the lower pin hinges ONLY 2) hold guard up in-place as it would be installed 3) insert detent pins in UPPER...

    MSD-ICE Kit Diagnostics

I would get a very similar error if I tried to do the initial self test with any cables connected. When I remove all but the DCA and serial cable, I could pass the test, then connect what I needed and it would measure just fine during the actual vehicle diagnostics. What's plugged in at the...

    Humvee road legal?

He wants to register as historical MV, IIRC. They require that to be mailed in nowadays. You're absolutely right for standard registration. Do it anywhere that'll give you a place in line. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

    1994 M998A1, Rebuild in Indiana

That's exactly as I have it. About how much cranking do you think it will need? I've already had about 10 bursts of 15 second cranking since I saw fuel come out the IP return. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

Saturday Dec 30 HASPIN day-trip in Laurel, IN

Yeah, I'm working at the injector end of the lines, because the IP side is impossible to access with the intake manifold in place. Working on a 6.5L HMMWV. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

Same as before. It's flowing into the pump just fine and the excess fuel all flows through the check valve into the return line. No fuel to the fuel injector lines. One forum I read for another truck using a DB2 says that these lines need back pressure to start flowing the fuel, so I'm going...

So my rig is still down. I got everything back together, got fuel back through the IP again, but can't get any fuel through the injection lines. Getting pretty clueless at this point. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

I think he's hoping the hard top being latched in will put in some extra resistance and reduce the flex. I wonder how this will end for the hard top... Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

    Radio shelf quick releases

Well, dang. That's what that odd 1/4 x20 knob was doing rolling around in my HMMWV. I'll have to copy all of this. Too smart of an idea to pass up. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk

    Another M998 MMA MWO question

I think you have a bit of a misunderstanding-you're not trying to count how many pistons are in each caliper. The original parking break design had a rotor on the main rear drive shaft itself and a 5th caliper to actuate just the parking brake. The fuel tank will actually be specially shaped...

Saturday Dec 30 HASPIN day-trip in Laurel, IN

Not yet. Today was my only shot this week at getting it done, but a few houses showed up on the market that I'd be a fool to not check out. Saturday will be the next chance. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
