I hear you, PaFarmer - nothing against Joe at all, he's done a great job trying to keep it all together, and it's worked out well.
You're probably right about me being the long distance person, but 3-1/2 hours in a civvy truck ain't bad.
Can't wait for the rally!
Do a search on here for the term "M48A2", a user here took a deuce and made a clone of an early tractor model called the M48. It was standard deuce wheelbase, unlike the M275 tractor which was SWB. He did a very nice job, but I think all he had in mind to haul was light loads.
I would NOT...
Two factors here:
The big one is not RC related - I go to lots of shows, car shows, offroad rallies, hamfests, etc. Every single venue is off by a wide margin in recent years. Noone has any spare cash laying around anymore to enjoy their hobbies as much as they used to. Even the big SS...
Noone? Boy in past years when I mentioned this event, I at least got a couple people who wanted to go but had previously scheduled things going on. This year, not even a peep.
One of these days I'm gonna not be the only Steel Soldier in attendance. With the number of SSers in the...

Every year the USS Torsk SS-423 Submarine museum in Baltimore MD has a work weekend to perform regular maintenance on the boat, and install new parts for the boat's restoration. Lots...

The problem some find is with the larger vehicles, there are only so many roads to go down there. powerhousedeuce is currently building a rock buggy to take there so he has more places to wheel on than he can with his 5-ton. Some get bored always doing the same trails (I don't, I love any...
Does anyone know if there is a NAPA part number for the U-bolts that attach the springs to the axle on the M416 trailer?
If not, I need the correct size for them to get them made up ASAP. Also, will need the Ubolts that attach the front frame rails to the bed (these are square U-bolts).
Whenever you're ready to put down the muscle cars and pick up the green iron again, we're here to welcome you back! There are many 10-tons out there waiting for your "touch"!
