BFR Metals, Salina Kansas, a Goodie Hole

That's not a bad deal for a nice truck of that type! How much more for a 925?

    Laundry trailer

The ones I bought had a water pump on it that was useful to someone. Also had plenty of piping and misc. hardware I was able to repurpose. However, unless you have a need to wash tons of clothes, the washer and dryer are useless. They are stainless steel, for the most part, so you can make...

help me design a radio shelter

Some good ideas in this thread, thanks! I gave it some thought this past weekend at a hamfest, I believe I will still do a lot of military radios, but will have civvy radios for ease of use plus backups in case I need them. Was also thinking about a couple UPS backup power supplies...

    Virginia State Inspections

Under VA state law, they will pull one wheel per axle, their random choice which. So half of your wheels are coming off.

    Virginia State Inspections

They will check brake shoe wear, tire tread depth, if any glass is broken. That's about it.

possible Colemans' run on Friday 8/10

Only GG parts I have ever seen there were stacks and stacks of new fiberglass seat frames. Most of them have been junked years ago. Might try TNJ - he has a couple junkers in his yard and he might have spare parts NOS as well.

    Virginia State Inspections

The normal stuff, wipers, lights, brakes, tie rod ends and ball joints, horn. Mostly safety related stuff. Because the truck has air brakes, though, you might have to have it inspected at a truck shop, regardless of whether you have it titled as a commercial vehicle or not (you probably...

possible Colemans' run on Friday 8/10

Want to save some more green iron pieces and misc. stuff laying around his yard. Anyone want to meet up there? If not, anything you need me to pick up? I know formernewmvguy needs me to pick up a couple 6-ton jackstands, that's the only items I know of as of now I need to snag for people....

8/11/12 - Breakfast in Eldersburg, Maryland

Relax, I was hoping to get my M416 trailer towable this week, but that's not going to happen this time - work has me busy recently.

what is it worth?? Burma Jeep

I say scrap price and not much more. It needs so much it might be better to save this unit, and part it out to those who need parts, and scrap the rest. Bubba had a big hand in this one's history...

    gull-wing 5-ton shop truck

There are a bunch on GL now, but they either have no pictures of the inside rear, or the pics show mostly missing components... Does anyone own one that is complete and uses it as a shop? I see we have some owners, but noone has really said they have the complete setup and run it....

    gull-wing 5-ton shop truck

I can't remember the model - there are a couple of them, one is built on a M54-series chassis and another the M809 series. They are gull-wing shop trucks, loaded with a pile of machinery, lathes, drill presses, etc. in the back, designed to be a mobile mechanics and machinist shop on wheels...

Kublo's Surplus in PA...Looking for feedback.

Does Kublos have a junkyard part of his yard, where you can pull your own parts? Or is he a vehicle dealer only? Anything else besides trucks and trailers, like misc hardware, general surplus, radio equipment?

    The Project Truck

The upturned intake mushroom is actually an MWO, there was a write up in PS Magazine some years back. Do a search here and more info can be found...

8/11/12 - Breakfast in Eldersburg, Maryland

I'm in again. I have to bring a boarding ladder to python86, plus I'm going to be there anyways again. Actually might have something green there!

jerry can rack..where to buy cans?

As far as metal jerry cans - you have either really high for new USGI cans (50-60 dollars ea), or used you can try your local flea market and garage sales. They are hit or miss, though, sometimes you'll find a great deal but other, just rusty junk with crap in it or a hole in the bottom. With...

    Gama Goat -yes or no???

I always got a kick out of people selling their 4x4s and advertising that it comes with a 10,000-lb wench. I reply, "are you that anxious to sell your wife with the truck?"

    Gama Goat -yes or no???

I was never a fan of the gama goats. They looks stupid, they run stupid and they sound stupid. The engine is so loud right next to you you can't hear yourself think, the heater has two settings - off and broil, and the pump has to run like **** to keep it afloat. Just my opinions, but if I...
