    HMMWV anti theft devices?

Parts can be stripped from any vehicle not adequately secured. Vandalism has not yet been mentioned, but is worth your consideration as well. I personally prefer the idea quoted above. Find a secure location. You can use the MEMBER MAP button in the tool bar at the top of every SS webpage to...

    Glad-hands

I used my super secret decoder ring and came up with HardWare. Maybe the OP (Original Poster o the question) will chime in and confirm or refute this deciphering.

Applause for the team player you are, Artisan. Sharing expenses on detailed item improvements is a great idea. Hope you find good partners in this. John

    Supplies for a Long Trip

Wolfgang, Our condolences to you and your family. I pray that the memories you carry will be precious and, in a sense, live on in a different yet similar loving tribute of a military vehicle. Each time you drive or tinker with your green iron remember those you have loved and lost. Blessings, John

    MV security

Weekend Security Detail..... It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it.... . . Pumpkin LOVES the XM-818's running board/step and the deck behind the cab. He's been missing the tool box since I removed it to access the fuel tank selector switch. It'll be reinstalled soon though.

    Weight of Deuce parts

WOW ! I agree. I doubt the Expedition's front wheels would have been on the ground with TWO of those suckers dangling from the back if my 500-600 estimate were accurate. Handling mine one leg at a time solo was sure a task. Sorry if I overestimated. I doubt I'll have any opportunity in the...

    Weight of Deuce parts

Not to hijack this thread, but a quick reply to your query.... . . I have never assembled this HEAVY Tow Bar, but these are photos from the Midland (Texas) County Sheriff's Deputy - my point of contact. You can see both the size and how they "shackled" the tow bar o the APC.

    Weight of Deuce parts

Recent FedEx shipment of a Medium Tow Bar WITH its three Pins documents it at 134 LBS. (Ships as 3 unwrapped but labeled parcels - first being just one OUTER Leg Tube with Lunette Ring; second being the other OUTER Leg Tube WITH the three Pins taped together and then slid inside with the open...

How to title a Mk48 in Oklahoma?

I suppose I wasn't clear in my first response. I suggest that you bring this to bikeman's attention by posting your situation there. Either he or someone subscribed to the VIN INFO thread might be able to assist you in locating the VIN on your MV. That thread has a long list of subscribed...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

APPLAUSE ! They're some good shots of a young MV enthusiast. You might consider adding them to the compilation in this thread: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?57747-MV-Calendar-Girl-Guy-Photos-Thread :goodjob::goodjob:

What did you do to your deuce this week?

My step-daughter responded to an online offer for a FREE canoe in need of some plastic-bottom repair. She wants to use it for her "indian" themed birthday party for our almost 2-year old granddaughter. Well, just as the sun was setting I was "invited" to help go pick it up all the way across...

    Tow Bar Stowage Ideas

The Pin connecting the Legs of this Heavy Tow Bar at the Lunette Ring is 1-1/2", whereas the Feet Ends and the Shackles shown have 1-1/4" Pins. The Sheriff's Crew used this Tow Bar (and another that they kept) only when winching their two APCs onto and off of the trailer they transported them...
