Adding an under wheel lift to a m936 or m816

818s are cheap now. Buy one and use the 5th wheel lift. Here's one that was at Rausch Creek rally in 2008.

    King of the rattle can

I have always used rattle cans and the results seem to be pretty good. I don't have a spray gun, so this is the main reason why. Rattle cans are inexpensive, easy to use, and the paint dries pretty fast too.

Fall 2011 Rausch Creek MV Rally

Tom, I don't have a towbar, but I may have some pins, and I know I have feet, but they are 3/4" feet for the CUCV series and the M37. Won't work with the deuce.

2011 USS Torsk work weekend 9/30-10/2

No, the hull is not on the bottom, there is at least 10 feet of draft underneath the keel, and she does bob in the water if a large boat comes by. Occasionally the boat has to be moved in or out, front to rear, to do work on the dive planes, and she can be moved by one man standing on a line...

2011 USS Torsk work weekend 9/30-10/2

Bill has the subject right, one of the goals is to start up the engines, but not engage the screws. Just to make her as operational as possible. PB - there are PLENTY of other things to do on the boat that are not related to the engines at all. Heck, we had kids on the boats helping out...

2011 USS Torsk work weekend 9/30-10/2

Not trying to rile you up, ODI, just saying that I started this thread and seemed like noone was interested beforehand. Not just here, but on a couple other sites as well, I got the same thing from a couple folks, just made me shake me head and wonder what I had to do before to get people there...

2011 USS Torsk work weekend 9/30-10/2

They have it around the first weekend in October every year. I made three posts about it before the event happened, short of coming to your house and using a bullhorn I think I made it clear beforehand. Please, all, be advised that it will take place again same timeframe next year, more...

2011 USS Torsk work weekend 9/30-10/2

Well, had a great time once again on the work weekend. Over 50 folks showed up for the event, some were there Friday-Sunday, I was there Saturday only, dawn to night after the cookout. I usually help out in the radio room, this time there were three people in radio already (kinda crowded in a...

    Setup for deep snow?

I know this won't be road legal, but in a pinch on smaller roads and offroad, perhaps you can put duals on the front, like troops in Europe did to the CCKWs during WWII?

    Setup for deep snow?

Setup for deep snow: leave the truck buried and get a snowmobile. Or a M29 Weasel. My two cents.

    Appels M715 find....

Very complete, but you have your work cut out for you in replacing a lot of that cancer. Good luck!

    Length of M920 vs. M1070

My bad on the C-Het designation. Thanks for the info, guys. Any way you can get me the wheelbase differences between the 920 and the 1070?

    Length of M920 vs. M1070

Anyone know what the length of the M920 C-HET is versus the M1070 HET?

I live next door to you in Front Royal, welcome to the site! Once you own a deuce, you're life is never the same. So buy the one I have listed in the classifieds. :)

    Ok Who got that M882?

I always liked the lines on the M880, much better than the CUCV. Glad this one survived, most have turned into rusty Swiss cheese by now....

    Army Boats

Saw these at Coleman's years back. Not sure what they are, they are boats but beyond that I have no clue.

New Pics of My bobbed M109

You need to go the extra mile and mount an old beer keg as a fuel tank, like the hot rodders sometimes do. Might have to mount a few of them with as much fuel as the deuce goes through.

cute little Ford cabover fuel truck

Ha ha, no that is in response to all the folks like gimpy et al who purposely come up with the weirdest in avatars. Since my theme has been Firefly for the last several years, every avatar showing Cpt. Mal Reynolds from the show, this new avatar in the last scene from the episode Trash where he...
