Saw a picture of this online, I can't find any information about it. Looks like a small trailer, maybe M1101 based, 2 axle with a fifth wheel hitch? Looks interesting, but I can't find any nomenclature on it. Is this an issue item, or custom?

It shouldn't be that hard for you to do PM work on your truck, gimp. You perfected the ultimate maintenance position for the truck, makes it a lot easier to get underneath the truck and work on it! :)

Old gennies like that are neat, and also easy to work on. If you need parts, you'd be surprised how many are either still available under different part numbers, or make your own gaskets, etc. Nice save!

Very. There are only a few guys on this board with one, and they are well sought after. They were all made in the 1950s, so most of those made have been turned into Toyotas several times over by now.

Is there any dangers to running the deuce without the front axle boots installed? Other than probably a lot of excess grease running out of the knuckle, I can't see any tremendous headaches from having damaged or missing boots. ???

I don't think I've ever seen a pic of WM smiling. But that pic sums up WM getting stuck in the mud. That Indiana mud gets greasy sick muddy with only a little rain. It's the only reason I can come up with why gimpy rolled his truck on a dirt speedbump.
