Corrected it, partially, I listed it as an M54 tribute truck. The original Wild Thing gun truck was a M35-based truck. This was patterned after that truck in paint job on the armor box only. Still a very nice truck, from what I've seen - I won't say the current truck should have been a M35...
Not sure if he is a member here, but wanted to post a big "thank you" to Pete at Winslow's place. Went down there yesterday to get the last of the LMTV parts for my long-term project (more details and pics will be in the near future), Pete is very helpful, and just about everything I have asked...
Interested in getting a roll call of all the reproduction and tribute gun trucks that have been built in the USA by military vehicle enthusiasts. This would include all the ones patterned after real gun trucks that served in Vietnam, as well as ones that are original creations by their...
Would that be, the, ahem, Jack Daddy?
Sorry, ghetto lingo isn't used well here.
Neat addition - I also though adding a powered assist to the dump bed would be neat, especially if you're hauling firewood or gravel and have a hard time lifting the bed up yourself.
They look cool, and might be useful for those who use the truck on-road only and have the front hubs flipped (as in the above photo). However, since I off-road mine several times a year, and the front wheels are standard, they would easily get mashed in the rocks and tight trees that I often...

That is the stupidest looking attempt at stencil copying I have ever seen. You need the right stencil, look up Rick Larsen, he'll take good care of you, his stencils are PERFECT.
Nice trailer !
Had a great time in the ECC and at Aberdeen. Thursday and Friday I was selling like great guns, but man, Saturday was SLOW. However I did meet a lot of the Steel Soldiers I have met in the past, and at least 10 new ones. Good times...good times...
Sorry, no pics this time...
He's right by me - I might be able to help get him some parts, researching that now, but I cannot tow him anywhere with the front like that. Will advise....
Out the door in 10 hours, once I get the final PM work done on my truck! I plan on getting to Doswell early enough to enjoy the pool for a little bit. :)
East bound and down, loaded up and truckin'...
Will be there Wed. evening through Sunday morning. I will be bringing my M35a2, might have another small vehicle in tow. Have to get with Cabell and Ferro and see if we're convoying out there together again....
Question on the windshield armor - looks like there are thick plastic or glass blocks installed in the driver's and passenger's windows instead of the normal glass. What are those blocks? Standard off-the-shelf items or were they custom made for the application?
