    Check for loose bolts!!!

I found mine to be the same way when I got the deuce. I think it's a common problem - good thing there are eight bolts to hold everything together. I like your solution, at least it will help you check by eyeball if they loosen again...

    I love this shot!!!!

First Blood, it was the first Rambo movie. The fuel tank got knocked off the truck during the stunt, you can see it in the movie if you look real close.

    New pictures

Is that an aftermarket top? I've seen some made by Memphis Equipment years ago for the M35 series trucks that looked like that....

    2010 Haspin rally BS thread

Who are the long haulers this year from the East Coast? I plan on going again, last year I convoyed with Ferro and Cabell. I think they are still going, but not sure. Who along the I-81/I-64/I-70 corridor east of the Appalachians is going this year?

    5 ton brass build

You have WAY more patience than I do. I would've smashed it into scrap by now if something didn't come out the way I planned. Everything I made in shop class always turned out to be an ashtray.

    Marvel Mystery Oil

I have used it to free up an engine that had been sitting unused for 15 or more years. Pulled the plugs, poured some in each cylinder, let it soak for 2 weeks, and it promptly fired right up next time. I did it just in case the pistons had stuck to the cylinder walls, I didn't have an idea of...

    free M37 for parts

You have until the end of March, then the owner (a friend of mine) will have a scrap company haul it away. Tempus fugit.

I plan to be set up there for the Vietnam living history display. This is my first time at MTA, I look forward to it!

    CJ-5 fenders on M38A1

IIRC, the M38A1 fenders and the CJ5 fenders are the same. I'd bet money on it.

old radios used in jeeps, which ones from 50's to 60's maybe?

There were a bunch of jeeps in WWII that were outfitted with Wireless Set No. 19s, especially in the European Theater. They had a dynamotor, but were LONG obsolete by the time of the Vietnam War. Here's a website with some vehicle based radio systems used in US from the 40s to the 1970s...

What's a 'LOW MILEAGE' Deuce worth?

On second thought, I might be interested in a deuce like this, as long as the engine is in good shape. I wouldn't hesitate to turn a junker like this into a bobbed deuce for off-roading, I wouldn't feel as it I was mangling a perfectly good truck to make a bob job. Cut the bed and fenders off...

Hope you all don't hate me for this...

Holy crap that's a lot of wood on that trailer. Good job with the mod. I would continue the mod with some airbag shocks that truck trailers use, might help support the load a little more when you hit the potholes on the way home.

What are some of the rarest deuces

    I forgot the wreckers. M108 and M60.

What's a 'LOW MILEAGE' Deuce worth?

That truck was a boat anchor in a previous life. I need a tetanus shot just from looking at it.

yet another Coleman's run - need anything?

Back, 7 hours of driving today. Ugh! Picked up 2 boarding ladders (1 steel, 1 aluminum), a HMMWV seat, a MBU v3 unit, a optical tripod of some sort, a couple pintle hitches, piles of cargo bed tiedown brackets, and a Marsh 1" stencil machine. Plus piles of little stuff. Overall a good haul...

What's a 'LOW MILEAGE' Deuce worth?

That truck has been driven more than 10 miles. The odometer is new, that's all. Most of these trucks have 100K miles or more on the frames. John Tennis told me as a practice, when the military changes the engine, the odometer changes as well.
