what to do with this m342a2 dump

It's rare enough and useful enough that it would be a shame to part it out. Please post some pics so we can see what we have to save, what we have to work with.... Here's a M342 restored and looking pretty, to see what they CAN look like. Photos courtesy of Eastern Surplus....

    Deuce Axles

Please put this in the classifieds, thanks. The front axles are gold, there are always more rear Rockwells out there than fronts. Please be sure to post the price in your classified listing.....

WHO WHO!! - We Have Ignition!!

Love the HMTT ! Great news on them turning over. Nothing like the sound of a perfectly running multifuel after a winter of cabin fever....

    tire fix...tube ?'s

Most tire shops would never repair a sidewall. They don't want the liability when it fails, and chances are, it will. Since it is a pinhole, and if you can do it yourself, what have you got to lose, a simple patch will fix it, but I'd have a spare tire ready to go if the tire fails down the...

    M606 progress pic

    free M37 for parts

4 hours each way, Mike. I'm getting a lot of tire tickers, people saying I'm interested in this part, please pull it for me, I'm kinda interested in the M37, but no takers so far. Perhaps this will go to the scrapper, noone seems to want the few parts left on it. :(

    items needed for Vietnam display

Thanks for the kind words, Dudley. Doing Vietnam living history is the least I can do to honor those that served in-country, I had some actual vets come up and were brought to tears. A few were tears of amazement and remembrance, a couple were distant and harkening back to a more violent and...

What are some of the rarest deuces

The Honest John was mounted on a 5-ton. However, the deuce was used to carry the Lacrosse missile launcher back in the height of the Cold War, from 1959 - 1964. It was a smaller system, the deuce worked well in that role. I'm not sure if there are any survivors in a museum somewhere.....

What are some of the rarest deuces

There was an article in MVM a while back with a lot of uncommon deuce pictures, mostly from testing at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, etc. There were a bunch of 1-off deuces that have long since been turned into Chinese toasters and Japanese cars, and will only be seen in pictures, unless someone...

    free M37 for parts

This is already posted in the classifieds, but I wanted to bring this to everyone's attention as this is one of those "must be gone soon or it's going to the scrapper" deals. This time, though, it's true. Difference is, this time, the truck is FREE. Not much left of it, there is some...

    items needed for Vietnam display

Who said it was a command post? It's a radio shack out in the country, where brass never go. ;) I had a couple maps on sectors in South vietnam, I need to get more and hang them up....

Started on my M75 APC lastnite. Guess What

If it turns out the engine is fine, but the cast iron pan is cracked for an unknown reason, either find a replacement, or (may be easier), fab up a sheet metal pan yourself with flat stock and a torch. Great job, can't wait to see more pics.

    m274 project/parts vehicle on ebay

Would be more useful as a mule trailer, one to tow behind your complete M274. There's a lot of pieces missing for more restoration-minded people. I've seen worse come back to life, but whoever gets this has a long way to go if they want a working mule, and even further if they want something...

    items needed for Vietnam display

Going to MTA show in April for the first time, I was invited to do part of the Vietnam living history display there. I would like a few items for the display that I do not have/cannot find/cannot afford. Any help is appreciated: Want to BUY for my own collection: original M60 sling (not the...

    Hmmwv vs Mog

I have been in both, and I will say that on road the HMMWV is better, athough a bit noisy. The Unimog is much better offroad though, no comparison. Almost like comparing a Silverado with a tractor. Each is better at what it does. But off-road the Mog is hands-down better, with better...

    Another M109 to camper conversion!

Might want to see where you truck has been, mainly by the bumper markings that were on it. It's not 100% accurate, but you can start there. p.s. red clay was predominant in SE Asia.
