Deuce spring seats VS. HEMTT spring seats

BTT... So.......does anyone know of a source for them yet? Anyone have a set they don't need anymore? Just looking to upgrade Jayne with some decent ass-support.

    water in rear diff.

Good advice, bht50. Always good to check the fluids, especially on new vehicles, BUT ALSO after you use your rig hard, just to make sure nothing got messed up. I got back after offroading at Rausch Creek this October, checked all the fluids and stuff, and saw the rear axle drain plug had...

    HMMWV A2 Project

Do you plan on getting that done and driving it to Aberdeen in May? Man, that's a great looking job!

    M38 using a M151 engine

I got word from a local friend that there is a M38A1 here with a M151 engine mated to it, but he said it's a hideous bubba job. It works but the whole way it's bolted in is wrong...

Why does all the cool stuff auction in Hawaii!

It costs less to drop it off at the nearest DRMO than to ship it all back to the lower 48. If the nearest DRMO is Guam, Barbers Point HI, etc., than that's where it stays. In the end, it saves the taxpayer some cash. Just because YOU want it in the lower 48 doesn't mean that much to the DoD...

Why does all the cool stuff auction in Hawaii!

Do trucks go cheaper in Hawaii? It might offset the cost of loading it onto a ship and sending it to the mainland....

Been sittin' awhile- How to start?

I don't think you're gonna have too tough a time, J. 18 months is a while, but not bad. I've seen write-ups on guys who bought trucks that were sitting for 18 years, sometimes more (in one case, it was 34 years), and a couple of those they drove them home (granted, not far, maybe a couple...

    .50 cal paint

The BBQ stove paint is as close as you're gonna get without parkerizing the .50. The parkerizing is so flat you can use some parts as sanding blocks, maybe 300 grit or so. But parkerizing costs a lot to have someone do it, and you can do it yourself, but it will stink up your house and you...

Been sittin' awhile- How to start?

Diesel should be good after 18 months, but it might help to change the filters, and have spares just in case. Here's my list: ALL filters, and couple couple of each ALL new fluids new batteries check tire pressure grease gun and grease just in case a joint needs lube spare bulbs, fuzes fire...

    Rt-70a/grc

eGay is a good start for the AM-65, though they are usually sold as a pair, so you might be buying another RT-70 along with it. The mount is harder to find, Fairradio.com has them for $75 each.

    Rt-70a/grc

It would be M-series correct, anyting after 1951 up until the late 1960s. They were used in all sorts of vehicles, jeeps, M37s, maybe deuces. The correct power supply for it is the AM-65 power supply/amplifier. Same size as the transceiver, mounts underneath it. The "AM" in AM-65 designates...

    gun ring cab top

I owned a soft top for a M548 years back, I got it surplus and sold it at the Red Ball show back when it was still at Tobyhanna Army Depot. Anywho, it was vinyl, and it had a snap out and Velcro circle where the ring was. I wish I had pictures of it, but I got rid of it 8-9 years ago.

M.A.N truck parts needed for restoration

Why spend a couple hundred on parts, when you can spend $10K on an entire truck! :-D

    m75 detailing

I think it stands for National Oxidation Standard. Now our rust issues can be gauged around this. :)

    m75 detailing

Fantastic job! I like the "NOS" that was spraybombed on the side of the rusty M75 when you got it. I don't think so!
