Hate to have the brakes go out on a hill. That's a LOT of weight. I saw a dually pickup with a fifth wheel hitch, towing a mini-car carrier trailer, and 5 cars on it. I don't know if these duallys were designed to handle the loads they are carrying....

I'm sure -715 could pull some Soviet vehicle parts for you, EZFEED. They are junk vehicles, and the mail service from Iraq to USA works, right? It's not like importing a whole AFV, just a few parts will survive to help out a vehicle on this end. Save some parts, Lonesome715 ! :D

Just a thought, but perhaps they made it less accessible, to PREVENT GIs from screwing with the wiring. 2cents

Okay, which bears in mind the question: under regular use, how often should one think about checking the wheel bearings and re-lubing them? My deuce I got in February, with 37 miles on it (just rebuilt), have put 800 miles on it since. When should I think about taking the whole shebang apart...

Following the manuals, and the LO, and watching other work on their trucks, and doing maintenance on MY trucks, I am confused. Do the outer bearings on the deuce wheels get their lubrication from the main differential housing 90W, and it gradually migrates out toward the bearings as the axle...

That is scary looking. Makes me nervous and wanting to tear down my wheels as well and take a look. Be glad you caught it when you did!
