According to the Lubrication Order, and assuming you are referring to the 809 series of 5-tons, each differential takes 12 quarts of 80/90 weight gear oil. That's 3 gallons per axle, 9 gallons total.
Transfer case takes 5.25 quarts.
Transmission takes 9 quarts, or 11 quarts if it has a PTO...
Whatever it is, it's recent. This pic is a couple years old, on MSN maps. Shows mostly an empty lot, some cars, looks like a vehicle auction place, perhaps.
Maybe a new MV dealer?
Can bring the following items:
Camp stove
10x30 white pavilion for shelter
firewood (have lots of split oak and oak beams that I can live without)
towbar (just in case)
2 folding tables
chowbox (if it's not sold at Gilbert PA)
military radios for commo/entertainment (you'd be surprised what's...
Heck I think they have a ton they are selling. If you buy 100 of them, the price is $10,000. Sold AS IS. They do have trailer loads of those gensets.
Joel, they are good gensets, but they will be noisy compared to a modern Honda or similar genset.
The FDC is not required to be hooked up to use different fuels. The motor itself and its design makes it a multi-fuel not the FDC. The FDC only ensured that the power output of the truck stayed the same regardless of the fuel used. In other words, without the FDC hooked up, you can burn...
Putting one in the cargo box would require a forklift or crane, and it would depend on what base you are picking up from whether or not you get any help from GL in loading or not. If you are considering towing a trailer behind a trailer, you need to mount a pintle hook on the back end of one...
Back in Revolutionary War times, there were often punishments that consisted of being dragged by the neck behind a horse. Well, we don't have a horse, but perhaps someone can loan their M274 mule for the task? rofl
Oh, boy. A project so custom, so cool, that it even needs stainless bolts with a skull and crossbones carved into the heads! Lemme guess, your M114 is going to be flying the Jolly Roger off the mainmast?
Good trailer there....I saw a couple landing legs that might work on eBay recently. Do a search under the term "military trailer" and see what you can find.
Re: RE: UMO
Yes, but since the stock fuel filter only removes particles down to 10 micron, does this mean that anything smaller than that (say, WMO with 5 micron particles in it) would be okay for the injectors and the injector pump? I'm going to filter mine down to 1 micron just to be on the...
If it ain't made in USA, I don't buy it. Needless to say, sometimes I have to hunt to find a USA made product, but they are out there, and they are worth it.
As a side note, most of the brass stuff coming from India/Bangladesh are made from scrap brass fittings from ships and naval vessels...
Nice pics of the finished product. Love to have some fieldstone walls around here, but its a lot of work, I don't have the time, and I don't hire illegal aliens to work in my stead. So, I will do without walls for now.
